Life, Values & Legacy: Our Chat with Queen Jackson of Southaven, MS

We recently had the chance to connect with Queen Jackson and have shared our conversation below.

Hi Queen, thank you so much for taking time out of your busy day to share your story, experiences and insights with our readers. Let’s jump right in with an interesting one: What makes you lose track of time—and find yourself again?
What makes me lose track of time—and find myself again—is the sacred rhythm of silence, solitude, and prayer. When I step away from the noise of the world and the demands of daily life, I enter a space where time seems to slow, and my heart can breathe. In solitude, I am able to reflect, release burdens, and reconnect with the deepest parts of who I am. In prayer, I invite God into the quiet, allowing His presence to speak to my soul, to restore my perspective, and to realign me with His purpose. It is in this stillness that I both lose track of hours and discover the truest version of myself, renewed and centered in Him.

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
I am the founder of Queen Jackson Ministries, a ministry God has called me to lead with passion and purpose. My mission is to awaken, affirm, and activate His daughters into a vibrant, personal, and transformative love relationship with Jesus. Through teaching, mentorship, and purposeful engagement, I help women discover their identity in Christ, embrace their God-given calling, and walk confidently in His plans for their lives. What makes this ministry unique is our focus on practical, heart-centered discipleship—equipping women not only to grow spiritually but to live out their faith boldly in every area of life. At Queen Jackson Ministries, it’s all about connection, empowerment, and transformation—helping women step into the fullness of who God created them to be.

Appreciate your sharing that. Let’s talk about your life, growing up and some of topics and learnings around that. What relationship most shaped how you see yourself?
The relationship that has most shaped how I see myself is my relationship with my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. It is through His love, guidance, and truth that I have learned who I am at my core—not defined by circumstances, opinions, or mistakes, but by His purpose and calling for my life. Knowing His faithfulness and experiencing His grace has helped me see myself as valuable, capable, and deeply loved, giving me the godly confidence to walk in the identity He has created for me. This relationship shapes every decision I make, every way I serve others, and every step I take toward becoming the woman He designed me to be.

Was there ever a time you almost gave up?
Oh yes! Trying to love and live like Christ has been the most challenging, yet life-transforming choice I have made in my life. Moments when the weight of life’s challenges seemed too heavy, and the road ahead felt uncertain or overwhelming, I didn’t think I would make it. There is this false narrative that those who follow Christ are as solid as a rock. Many who carry this false truth fail to realize we are (I am) human too. I feel all the things too, but I also give what I am ‘feeling” to my heavenly Father.

I have wrestled with doubt, fear, and exhaustion. But even in those moments, I learned that giving up didn’t mean failure; it was an opportunity to pause, refocus, and lean deeper into God’s strength. Through prayer, reflection, and His faithful presence, I found renewed courage and a reminder that He never gives up on me—even when I feel like giving up on myself. Those times taught me resilience, dependence on God, and the power of trusting His timing above my own.

I think our readers would appreciate hearing more about your values and what you think matters in life and career, etc. So our next question is along those lines. Is the public version of you the real you?
Lol… Oh yes! The public version of me is real. What people see publicly is the woman God has shaped through both private battles and quiet victories. I strive to live authentically, so who I am in front of others reflects the same heart that seeks God behind closed doors. Still, there are parts of me that only God fully knows—the moments of doubt, the tears, the prayers whispered in the dark. The public version is real because it’s rooted in truth, but it’s sustained by the private, unseen relationship I have with Jesus that continues to refine and define who I am.

Okay, so before we go, let’s tackle one more area. What do you understand deeply that most people don’t?
What I understand deeply, even though I am still learning and growing, is the depth and breadth of God’s love—and how profoundly different it is from what the world teaches. God’s love is unconditional, relentless, and transforming. It isn’t based on performance, appearance, or perfection, and it doesn’t punish or shame us when we fail.

This is where the world is missing it!

Too often, people confuse God’s love with human love—they expect it to be conditional, transactional, or limited—but His love is infinite and unwavering. I’ve realized that many don’t truly understand that God loves them exactly as they are, while simultaneously inviting them to become who He created them to be. I haven’t fully grasped it myself, but the Holy Spirit is teaching me how to receive it, walk in it, and extend it to others. What I understand is that God’s love heals, restores, and empowers, and it is available to everyone, even when the world has convinced them otherwise. It’s a love that changes everything when it’s truly known.

If we could get God’s Love right, oh my well we would be as a people, community, state, nation, and world.
