Hi DURRVEENCHIE, thank you for taking the time to reflect back on your journey with us. I think our readers are in for a real treat. There is so much we can all learn from each other and so thank you again for opening up with us. Let’s get into it: What are you most proud of building — that nobody sees?
I am most proud of this beautiful business God gave me! Lord knows I would’ve never thought I could build a 6 figure business coming from a low income household but I had a dream and I chased it despite all the hate and all the negative comments , my business speaks for itself!
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
Wassup party people it’s ya favorite designer Durrveenchie!! I am 25 years old located in Birmingham Alabama! Durrveenchie means “The One Who Got Away”! My business started back in 2020 when I lost my job because I QUIT! I was tired , I was fed up and I didn’t have anymore strive in me to keep making somebody else dream come true while I didn’t even know what mines was! We went from bandanna skirt and short sets to wedding gowns and prom dresses!
Thanks for sharing that. Would love to go back in time and hear about how your past might have impacted who you are today. What was your earliest memory of feeling powerful?
My earliest moment of feeling powerful was really back in the first stages of my dress making career in 2022 or 2023 when I had a rude client that I ended up refunding her deposit and she posted our messages and went VIRAL! Next thing you know I’m getting all this backlash but more so even more beautiful I GOT SO MUCH LOVE! I gained over 1000 followers and made $25,000 after the post! Many people don’t realize how powerful of a moment that was for me to see that I got hundreds of people jumping the gun, making assumptions and most importantly putting Durrveenchie name in the streets of Alabama! Thank you to my fansssss!!
What fear has held you back the most in your life?
My biggest fear is failing God and myself!! I’ve watched so many people not be able to capture the true essence of life because they never got in with God! Knowing I’m a chosen vessel of the Lord helps me have an even greater expectation to live a life that leaves a Legacy for my kids and their kids! God giving me DURRVEENCHIE really has done just that and I’m so grateful!
I think our readers would appreciate hearing more about your values and what you think matters in life and career, etc. So our next question is along those lines. What’s a belief or project you’re committed to, no matter how long it takes?
I believe with my whole heart that Durrveenchie will be a million dollar business! It took 3 years to hit 6 figures but I’m decreeing that it won’t take me 7 more to hit a million! Maybe 5 but not over that!
Okay, we’ve made it essentially to the end. One last question before you go. What do you think people will most misunderstand about your legacy?
I believe many people will think it was easy! Many people look at me because I’m always smiling, always complimenting and making others feel good that I don’t go thru hard days! Nobody will know how many thousands of people on this 6 year journey told me I would never make it but Glory to God I’m still here , BETTER, STRONGER AND WISER THAN EVER BEFORE!
