Eunice Chavez of Sarasota Fl on Life, Lessons & Legacy

We’re looking forward to introducing you to Eunice Chavez. Check out our conversation below.

Eunice , a huge thanks to you for investing the time to share your wisdom with those who are seeking it. We think it’s so important for us to share stories with our neighbors, friends and community because knowledge multiples when we share with each other. Let’s jump in: What is something outside of work that is bringing you joy lately?
There are many things outside of my job that bring me joy. One of them is nurturing my spiritual life — it helps me recharge and stay grounded. Having a consistent workout routine also lifts my energy and keeps those happy hormones flowing. But most importantly, nothing compares to spending quality time with my family.

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
Hi! My name is Eunice, and I’m the owner of Eye Candy Lash & Brow Bar. I’m passionate about enhancing natural beauty and helping clients feel confident and radiant from the moment they walk through our doors.

What makes Eye Candy special is the experience we create — it’s not just about lashes or brows, it’s about self-care, confidence, and connection. Over the years, I’ve built a brand that focuses on detail, quality, and a personalized touch that makes every client feel valued and beautiful in their own unique way.

Right now, we’re focused on expanding our services and continuing to educate and empower others in the beauty industry through our training programs. It’s been such a rewarding journey, and I’m so grateful to do what I love every day while helping others feel their best.

Great, so let’s dive into your journey a bit more. What did you believe about yourself as a child that you no longer believe?
As a child, I used to be shy and self-conscious about my English since I come from a Hispanic background. I often worried about my voice and how I sounded to others. Today, I’ve completely outgrown those fears — in fact, I’ve received so many compliments on how amazing my voice is! I’m grateful for the growth and confidence I’ve gained along the way.

When did you stop hiding your pain and start using it as power?
In life, we all hit bumpy roads — it’s part of navigating the journey. I realized that I’m not a victim and that every challenge is a lesson. Once I shifted my mindset, I was able to transform my pain into strength and power, using my experiences to grow, inspire, and move forward with confidence.

Alright, so if you are open to it, let’s explore some philosophical questions that touch on your values and worldview. Is the public version of you the real you?
Yes, the public version of me is the real me. It’s the side of myself I choose to share with the world — my values, passions, and personality. While it may not show every private thought or struggle, it’s still an authentic expression of who I am. What you see is a genuine reflection of me, shaped by my experiences and how I want to show up in the world.

Thank you so much for all of your openness so far. Maybe we can close with a future oriented question. What is the story you hope people tell about you when you’re gone?
hope people remember that Eunice faced countless challenges, obstacles, rejection, yet she never let any of it stop her. Through it all, she fought tirelessly for her family and loved ones. From humble beginnings, she built Eye Candy into a thriving brand — not just for herself, but as a legacy for her children, showing that determination, love, and vision can turn dreams into reality.
