Marvisha Singletary shared their story and experiences with us recently and you can find our conversation below.
Hi Marvisha, thank you so much for joining us today. We’re thrilled to learn more about your journey, values and what you are currently working on. Let’s start with an ice breaker: What do the first 90 minutes of your day look like?
The first 90 minutes of my day include me listening to a pastor that I enjoy to get my day started and get my mind set in the right direction. I typically like to listen to Pastor Michael, Todd or Pastor Keon Henderson Pastor PMJ these are my go to people.
I’m very big on Being present in the moment when I wake up and not going directly to my phone and stretching when I wake up. So much of what I do is tired to my mind and balance in peace in my mind it’s very important to me that this time that I have in the morning is not disturbed.
Once I finally get going, and I’ve done my stretches and I talk to the Lord and I went outside and grounded myself in the grass, I feel ready to conquer and take over the day. I like to work out in the morning.
As you can see everything that I do revolve around my mind I just it’s like a lot of pride in my mind and my mental space because I feel like if I’m not in the best space I can’t do my best work.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
I’m Marvisha Singletary, the founder of Wealthy Hustlers Academy—a platform built to teach everyday people how to create financial freedom through forex trading, entrepreneurship, and mindset development.
What makes WHA special is that we don’t just focus on charts and strategies; we focus on the person behind the trade. I’ve learned that discipline, structure, and mindset are just as important as the technical skills, so we blend all of that into our programs.
My journey—from a small-town girl to serving in the Army and then stepping out as an entrepreneur—taught me the power of resilience and resourcefulness. I built WHA to be that bridge for people who know they’re capable of more but just need the right tools and guidance.
Right now, we’re expanding our programs with new mentorship tracks, interactive challenges, and practical resources that help our students not only trade smarter but also build sustainable wealth.
At the core of everything we do is the belief that you’re not stuck—you just need a game plan and the confidence to go after it.
My mission is to empower hustlers all over the world to rewrite their stories, break barriers, and build wealth that lasts for generations.
Appreciate your sharing that. Let’s talk about your life, growing up and some of topics and learnings around that. Who were you before the world told you who you had to be?
Before the world told me who I had to be, I was just a small-town girl from Moultrie, Georgia, with big dreams and a bigger imagination. Growing up in a place where opportunities felt limited, I learned early on how to be resourceful and how to hustle.
People around me often expected me to follow the same path they knew—work hard, stay local, don’t aim too high. But even as a kid, I felt there was more out there for me. That small-town girl in me was curious, driven, and willing to take risks even when the odds didn’t look good.
Those roots shaped my work ethic and my resilience. They remind me that it’s not about where you start, it’s about how far you’re willing to go. That’s the energy I carry into everything I do now with Wealthy Hustlers Academy—helping people from all walks of life believe that they can build something bigger, no matter where they come from.
What did suffering teach you that success never could?
Suffering taught me things that success never could—like patience, humility, and the power of resilience. When you’re struggling, you learn how to get resourceful, how to pivot, and how to keep going even when no one is cheering you on.
Coming from a small town and later serving in the Army, I experienced moments where I felt overlooked or underestimated. Those seasons of struggle taught me discipline and gave me the kind of grit that no amount of success can replace.
Success feels good, but it can sometimes make you comfortable. Suffering forces you to grow, to look deeper at yourself, and to build the kind of character that keeps you grounded when the wins finally come.
That’s why at Wealthy Hustlers Academy, I always remind my students—your losses aren’t proof that you’re failing; they’re proof that you’re being shaped for something bigger.
Next, maybe we can discuss some of your foundational philosophies and views? Whom do you admire for their character, not their power?
I admire my ancestors for their character, not their power. Growing up in a small town, I saw a lot of strong, hardworking people who didn’t have big titles or influence, but they had grit, faith, and an unshakable drive to keep going.
My grandmothers and the elders in my community taught me by example—how to work with what you have, how to take care of others, and how to stay true to your values even when the world tries to push you down. That kind of quiet strength left a mark on me.
I think about them a lot on this journey. Their character—not power or status—is what built the foundation that allows me to do what I do today. It reminds me that leadership isn’t about how loud you are or how much you own; it’s about the example you set and the impact you leave behind.
Okay, so let’s keep going with one more question that means a lot to us: Are you doing what you were born to do—or what you were told to do?
I’m definitely doing what I was born to do. Growing up in a small town, there were plenty of expectations about the “safe” path—finish school, get a steady job, stay local—but that was never me. I’ve always been driven to create, to build, and to help others rise while I rise.
Serving in the Army taught me discipline and structure, but it also reminded me that my purpose goes beyond following someone else’s rules. Starting Wealthy Hustlers Academy allowed me to combine everything I’ve learned—mindset, entrepreneurship, and trading—into something that’s mine and something that helps other people unlock their potential.
I feel most alive when I’m shaping my own path and helping others see what’s possible when they refuse to settle for what they’re “told” to do. That’s the work I was born to do, and I wouldn’t trade it for anything.
