Story & Lesson Highlights with Satin Pelfrey of North Fort Worth, Texas

We recently had the chance to connect with Satin Pelfrey and have shared our conversation below.

Satin , we’re thrilled to have you with us today. Before we jump into your intro and the heart of the interview, let’s start with a bit of an ice breaker: What is something outside of work that is bringing you joy lately?
I discovered Hotworx and am absolutely LOVING my solo workout sessions at my local studio! I’ve never enjoyed working out before, but Hotworx brings me so much JOY! 🙂

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
I am a woman who has been marked by the mercy of Jesus. My life hasn’t been perfect, but it’s been perfectly held by the One who redeems every part of our story. From deep heartbreak to unexpected healing, from grief to grace—I’ve come to know God not just in theory, but in the trenches of real life.

I’m passionate about creating spaces where women feel safe to show up fully as they are—loved, seen, and held by the Lord. Whether it’s through writing, podcasting, or simply sharing the messy middle moments, I want my life to echo one thing: Jesus is faithful.

I carry on a legacy of passionate, unwavering love for Christ—one my late parents instilled in me from childhood. It’s an honor to continue that legacy through the Spirit-Filled Girl Talk podcast and the many ways God opens doors to encourage and equip His daughters.

I can’t imagine this journey without my dear friend and co-laborer in Christ, Sarah Phillipe. God knit our hearts together through our own stories of loss, healing, and radical surrender—and now we get to walk alongside women just like you through Spirit-Filled Girl Talk and beyond.

Thanks for sharing that. Would love to go back in time and hear about how your past might have impacted who you are today. Who saw you clearly before you could see yourself?
My late parents taught me so much about God and life. My mother specifically had the gift of seeing me for who God created me to be, long before I realized who I was. She was my personal cheerleader, constantly encouraging me to do my best and to live to my fullest capacity. She saw gifts and talents within me that I didn’t see and she called me up into those with grace and joy.

What have been the defining wounds of your life—and how have you healed them?
My journey with Breast Implant Illness (BII) was one of the hardest—and most healing—seasons of my life. After explanting in 2020 and spending a full year detoxing with little progress, I still felt stuck in my symptoms. Real breakthrough came when I began addressing deeper layers like emotional trauma, hidden infections, and heavy metal toxicity.

With God’s help—and the support of Root Cause Detective Sarah Phillipe—I walked through each step with faith and determination. Today, I’m living in the clarity, health, and freedom I once thought was out of reach. My energy is restored, my marriage is thriving, and my faith is stronger than ever.

Alright, so if you are open to it, let’s explore some philosophical questions that touch on your values and worldview. What are the biggest lies your industry tells itself?
“You have to forgive yourself”

This is a lie because we cannot forgive sin, only Jesus can. We are called to forgive people, not their sin, so any of our sin/mistakes can only be forgiven by Jesus.

Okay, so let’s keep going with one more question that means a lot to us: What is the story you hope people tell about you when you’re gone?
I want to be a woman remembered for her love for and surrender to Jesus. My faith in God is everything to me. I want it said of me that although I wasn’t perfect, I lived a life surrendered to Jesus – living by the Word of God (the Bible). I want to be remembered for my love of helping people grow in their walk in God; and that although I struggled with my delivery of hard truths in the first 40 years of my life, through my submission to God, He refined me and I learned to speak with love an compassion.
