Regina Saavedra, appreciate you making time for us and sharing your wisdom with the community. So many of us go through similar pain points throughout our journeys and so hearing about how others overcame obstacles can be helpful. One of those struggles is keeping creativity alive despite all the stresses, challenges and problems we might be dealing with. How do you keep your creativity alive?
Keeping creativity alive is simple when it lives within you. For us, inspiration never takes a break—it’s always on. Beauty and ideas surround us at every turn, waiting to be noticed. Sometimes it’s the texture of wallpaper in a vintage thrift store, the subtle pattern of a fabric at a luxury hotel, or the way light falls across a sunlit terrace. Other times, it’s found in the unexpected—a striking color combination on a city street, the curve of a hand-crafted vase, or the shimmer of autumn leaves. We’ve learned that creativity isn’t something you chase; it’s something you nurture, noticing the extraordinary in the everyday and transforming it into experiences that delight the senses.
Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?
At Zaffre Fine Linens, we specialize in creating thoughtfully designed linens that transform any table. Our focus is on helping clients elevate their gatherings—whether it’s an intimate dinner, a large celebration, or a festive holiday event—through beautifully curated tablescapes that reflect their personal style.
Our Costa Mesa showroom is truly our creative playground. Every quarter, we design and present new tablescapes that showcase the textures, colors, and details that make every table feel special. Clients can explore these designs, mix and match, and discover what resonates with their vision for their own celebrations. It’s a space where inspiration comes to life, and where we get to share the joy of design with those who love to entertain.
Right now, we’re especially excited as we expand our collection for the holiday season. With Thanksgiving just around the corner, we’re helping clients select the perfect linens to make their tables warm, inviting, and unforgettable. From rich fall hues to festive textures, every piece is chosen to enhance the atmosphere and create memories that linger long after the meal is over.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
Looking back, there are three qualities that have been most impactful in our journey at Zaffre Fine Linens. First, a commitment to uncompromising quality—always delivering the best, no matter the project, has built trust and a reputation that continues to open doors. Second, saying “yes” in those first years, even when it felt daunting, allowed us to learn, grow, and discover new opportunities we might have otherwise missed. And third, having the confidence and pride to share our brand with others—talking openly about what we do and why it matters—has been essential in building relationships and expanding our reach.
For those just starting out, our advice is simple but powerful. Invest in your craft and never cut corners, because your reputation is built on the work you deliver. Be open to opportunities, even the challenging ones, because each experience teaches you something new and brings you closer to your goals. And perhaps most importantly, find your community—a network of people who genuinely want to see you succeed.
