Meet Lauren Lux

We recently connected with Lauren Lux and have shared our conversation below.

Lauren, appreciate you making time for us and sharing your wisdom with the community. So many of us go through similar pain points throughout our journeys and so hearing about how others overcame obstacles can be helpful. One of those struggles is keeping creativity alive despite all the stresses, challenges and problems we might be dealing with. How do you keep your creativity alive?

I keep it alive by constantly surrounding myself with inspiration! From fashion, music and art to all of the people I meet here in Los Angeles every day. I love seeing new trends, but also love turning them into my own way. Taking classes, attending hair shows and collaborating with other creatives keeps my energy and perspective fresh. Hair is my art and ongoing pursuit. I always push myself to try new things and know that creativity stays alive when you never stop learning.

Appreciate the insights and wisdom. Before we dig deeper and ask you about the skills that matter and more, maybe you can tell our readers about yourself?

I am Lauren Lux, a hairstylist in West Hollywood and what I love most about my work is the transformation. Not just in someone’s look, but in their confidence and energy. Every guest has a different story and I get to help them with expressing that. I started doing hair because I was constantly disappointed with how my hair turned out growing up, so I started doing my own! Over time, the passion kept evolving and has now turned into building my own brand here in Los Angeles, where I always had my vision. The perfect blend of glamour and edge. What makes my work special is my personal details behind every style. I take the time to get to know each guest and their story, then I mix and visualize that into what I know would make them look their absolute best! I won’t let them leave until they are confident and camera-ready. Right now, I have been focusing on growing my brand. From expanding my clientele, to collaborating on creative shoots and furthering the future of my luxury hair services. My goal is to create a space and experience where people don’t just get their hair done, they feel seen, stylish and unstoppable.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?

Looking back, the 3 qualities that shaped my journey the most are consistency, intuition and connection. First, consistency built my foundation. Showing up every day with the same level of passion and professionalism, even when things felt uncertain. That’s what earned trust and kept guests coming back. Second, intuition is everything in this industry. The best stylists don’t just follow trends, they feel what’s right for each person. Learning to listen to what feels right to you, your client and your creative vision is what sets your work apart. And third, connection is where the magic happens. Building real relationships with guests and other creatives open doors that keep flowing into your life. My advice for anyone starting out is to stay curious and keep learning. Take classes, assist artists you admire and put your own twist on everything you learn. Your unique point of view is your power!

How can folks who want to work with you connect?

Absolutely, collaboration is one of my favorite parts of being a creative. I love working with photographers, stylists, makeup artists and other beauty professionals who are passionate about creating standout visuals. I’m also open to partnering with brands and creatives in beauty, fashion and lifestyle who align with my aesthetic. I’m especially drawn to projects that feel artistic and story-driven, photo/video shoots, behind the scenes of iconic events or creative content that celebrates transformation and self-expression.

Anyone interested in collaborating can connect with me through Instagram @laurenluxofficial or email [email protected], I’m always open to new ideas and creative energy!
