Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Jessie Morgan. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Jessie, thanks so much for taking the time to share your insights and lessons with us today. We’re particularly interested in hearing about how you became such a resilient person. Where do you get your resilience from?
Honestly, my resilience comes from my faith in God. When I first started pursuing content creation full-time, I faced so many no’s – projects that didn’t pan out, opportunities that slipped away, and moments when I questioned whether I could actually make it. But I kept going because I knew He had a plan for me.
Every ‘no’ felt heavy at the time, but I leaned on prayer, trust, and the belief that He was guiding me toward the right opportunities. That faith gave me the courage to keep creating, showing up, and putting my work out there, even when it felt uncertain.
Then, finally, I got a yes. And from there, everything started to fall into place. Looking back, I realize it was never just about my persistence – it was about trusting God’s timing and guidance, and letting that faith fuel my resilience to keep going. And now, here I am, living my dream as a full-time content creator.

Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?
Three years ago, I took the leap and officially started my content creation business – and since then, I’ve been fortunate to help over 200 brands with their marketing campaigns, from seasonal product launches to full-scale direct-to-consumer ad campaigns.
My favorite part of this work is the creativity – experimenting with different strategies, discovering what resonates, and truly connecting with a brand’s audience. Seeing that connection translate into real results and success in a campaign is what keeps me motivated every day.
But getting here wasn’t without its challenges – pitching to brands, facing early rejections, and learning how to create content that performs – but each step helped me grow and refine my approach.
Now, I focus on building campaigns that feel authentic, grab attention, and drive measurable impact, while continuing to push the boundaries of creativity and strategy in every project.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
Looking back, I’d say the three qualities that have been most impactful in my journey are resilience, creativity, and adaptability.
Resilience kept me going when I faced rejections or uncertainty in the early days of building my business. I learned to trust the process, keep showing up, and believe that the right opportunities would come.
Creativity has been essential in helping me craft content that stands out – experimenting with strategies, storytelling styles, and formats that truly connect with a brand’s audience.
Adaptability allowed me to pivot and evolve with trends, audience behavior, and platform changes, ensuring that the work I created remained relevant and effective.
For anyone starting out, my advice would be: embrace the learning process and don’t be afraid to make mistakes – each one teaches you something valuable. Stay curious, experiment with your craft, and lean into challenges instead of shying away from them. Building skills and knowledge takes time, but consistency, creativity, and an open mindset will take you far.

Before we go, any advice you can share with people who are feeling overwhelmed?
When I feel overwhelmed, I usually take a step back and pause for a moment – sometimes going for a quick walk or just taking a few deep breaths. It helps me reset and get some perspective.
I also break everything down into smaller, manageable steps. Focusing on one thing at a time makes it feel less overwhelming and more doable.
And I don’t hesitate to lean on my support system – chatting with a friend, mentor, or colleague often helps me see solutions I might have missed.
Honestly, my best advice is to give yourself permission to pause, prioritize what matters most, and remember that progress, not perfection, is what really counts.
