Hi Christie, appreciate you sitting with us today to share your wisdom with our readers. So, let’s start with resilience – where do you get your resilience from?

My resilience comes from God and the lessons life has handed me. I’ve been through enough to know quitting isn’t an option, and that any setback is just another setup for something greater.

Appreciate the insights and wisdom. Before we dig deeper and ask you about the skills that matter and more, maybe you can tell our readers about yourself?

I’m the Broker and Owner of Closing with Excellence Realty and also a Mortgage Loan Originator. My focus is helping families and individuals reach one of the biggest milestones of their lives, homeownership, while making sure they understand every step along the way.

What makes my work special is that it’s not just about closing deals; it’s about educating, empowering, and building trust. I take pride in walking clients through the process from start to finish — whether that’s finding the perfect home or securing financing — and making it feel seamless.

My brand, Closing with Excellence, is built on integrity, faith, and service. It represents professionalism with heart — where every client feels seen, heard, and valued.

Right now, I’m excited about expanding our brokerage, growing our team, and continuing to create opportunities for new agents to thrive.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?

Looking back, the three things that have carried me the furthest are faith, consistency, and communication.

Faith taught me to trust the process even when I couldn’t see the outcome. It kept me grounded when things didn’t go as planned.
Consistency helped me build credibility, showing up the same way every day, even when no one was watching.
And communication has been key in everything I do. Whether it’s guiding clients, leading a team, or building relationships, how you speak and listen determines how people experience you.

For anyone just getting started, my advice is to focus on growth more than perfection. Don’t be afraid to ask questions, keep learning, and let your values guide your work. What’s meant for you will meet you when you’re prepared for it.
