Meet Anthony Sisson

Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Anthony Sisson. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Anthony, we’re thrilled to have you on our platform and we think there is so much folks can learn from you and your story. Something that matters deeply to us is living a life and leading a career filled with purpose and so let’s start by chatting about how you found your purpose.
I found my purpose by being in my head a lot. It’s a blessing but it’s a curse at the same time. I’ll think about all the amazing things I can do, but unfortunately I think about all the things I can’t do. But those good and bad energy that I get from being in head a lot help me bring those ideas from my head and turn them into reality.

Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?
I’m a photographer and videographer that’s based in Atlanta that primarily focus on the automotive culture here. Even though automotive is my main niche I’m also experienced in commercial work, lifestyle and fashion photography and videography.

I started my journey in this field in 2019, ever since then I built my business from the ground up. One thing I love about doing what I do is the interaction that I have with clients and friends that I meet along the way. At first I had really bad social anxiety which in a way hold me back from networking with future clients and friends but soon I overcome that obstacle in my life that led me to grow to the person I am now today.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
The three things that impacted me was networking, my work flow, and my knowledge in the field I work in. In this industry in order for you to grow you have to network with fellow creators so you can learn the ins and outs of that field. I will like to also put out there that work flow is the key to success. Time is everything I had to learn this the hard way when it came to my speed in editing and delivering finish products to clients. Last thing is knowledge, know your field it’s very important that you know what you are doing. Clients look at us for guidance and the knowledge that we have. They put their trust into us so we can help them achieve that vision that they wanted.

Any advice for folks feeling overwhelmed?
When I started my journey in this field I have to admit I was pretty overwhelmed. Since 2018 I been going to Georgia State full time as a student while working a full time job at Zaxbys and Chick-fil-A. It wasn’t easy it put a toll on my mental health because the amount of work I had on my plate with deadlines from assignments from school and clients while working night shifts. The only time I really had to myself was the weekends even then it was too much. My advice find a system that works best for you and stick with it.
