We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Jaclyn Albergoni a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Jaclyn, thanks for taking the time to share your thoughts with us today. We’re excited to dive into your story and your work, but first let’s start with a broader topic that might be stopping many of our readers from pursuing their dreams – haters, nay-sayers, etc. How have you managed to persist despite haters and nay-sayers that inevitably follow folks who are doing something unique, special or off the beaten path?
I love this question because I think it touches on one of the main reasons so many people don’t follow their passion — we give other people’s opinions way too much value.
Here’s how I see it: I only take advice or give weight to someone’s opinion if they’re already successful in the field I’m pursuing. For example, if I want to grow my business, I’ll seek guidance from someone who’s already built a successful one.
People who are truly pursuing their dreams and focused on their goals don’t waste time criticizing others or comparing themselves. They’re too busy being inspired, motivated, and creating their own success.
That’s not to say that negative comments don’t hurt sometimes — they do. But you have to learn to ignore the haters and keep going. The hardest criticism often comes from friends and family, which can be especially painful. But when that happens, take a step back and look at their lives. Most of the time, they’re projecting their own fears and limitations onto you.
In the end, don’t give value to anyone’s opinion unless they’re doing better than you or walking a path you admire. And if someone you do respect does criticise, then take that criticism as fuel to grow, improve, and keep moving forward.

Let’s take a small detour – maybe you can share a bit about yourself before we dive back into some of the other questions we had for you?
The Meditation Channel was born from my own self-healing journey.
I spent most of my 20s and early 30s learning everything I could about healing and manifestation. This search was born from pain — I was miserable. I hated my life, myself, and, honestly, the world. I struggled to fit in, to function, and to do what seemed so normal and effortless for everyone else.
Eventually, I reached a crossroads and realized I couldn’t keep living that way. I made a choice — I chose life. I decided to fight for something better, and even if I didn’t reach it, at least I would know I gave it my all.
So every day, for hours and years, I dedicated myself to studying, practicing, and developing different healing modalities. Out of everything I explored, meditation became the most powerful tool. I began creating meditations for myself and quickly started to feel a deep transformation.
In time, I felt called to share these meditations on YouTube — and that’s how The Meditation Channel was born. As the channel grew, I began teaching everything I had learned, both online and in person.
Today, The Meditation Channel continues to expand. I now offer online courses, one-on-one coaching, and unique spiritual tools — including my newest creations: The Realms Oracle Deck and The Book of Realms.
In addition, I have finally fulfilled my childhood dream and founded a non-profit animal rescue — The Animal Rights Organisation — where we currently care for over 40 animals. With the continued growth of both the business and the rescue, we’re planning to expand even further and make an even greater impact.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
Three qualities or skills have made the biggest impact on my journey — and I believe they can for you, too.
First: If someone else has done it, so can you. You can learn, grow, and develop new skills. Never allow anything or anyone to keep you from doing what you love.
Second: Get up every single time you fall. Don’t see failure as a stop sign — it’s actually a stepping stone leading you closer to your goals. Every setback carries a lesson that helps refine your path and skills forward.
Third: Do it regardless of whether you succeed or not. True fulfillment comes from who you become in the process, not just from the outcome.
My biggest advice to anyone is this: it takes work, dedication, and focus. The path of growth isn’t always easy — it’s a journey of self-discovery and self-development. If you’re looking for comfort, this isn’t it. But if you’re ready to create something meaningful, you have to be willing to stand apart from the crowd at times.
Above all, do it for something greater than yourself — something that deeply matters to you.
For me, that “something” is my younger self — becoming the version of her she always dreamt of being. Every step I take, every challenge I overcome, is for her.

What do you do when you feel overwhelmed? Any advice or strategies?
I think it’s almost impossible not to feel overwhelmed at times — life itself can be overwhelming. There are responsibilities, expectations, and constant change, and it can all feel like too much. Over the years, I’ve learned that it’s never a good idea to make big decisions when you’re in that state. When you’re overwhelmed, your emotions tend to take the lead — and that’s often when we make mistakes we later regret.
What’s helped me is simply learning to notice when I’m overwhelmed. So often, we don’t even realize it — we just feel tense, reactive, or exhausted and keep pushing through. But awareness is everything. The moment I catch myself in that space, I take a step back. I pause, focus on calming my nervous system, and remind myself that I don’t need to have all the answers right now.
It’s also important to remember that feeling pressure or anxiety doesn’t mean something is wrong. These emotions are part of being human. The goal isn’t to eliminate them, but to learn how to move through them with grace — to breathe, to slow down, and to trust that clarity will return once you’re grounded again.
