We recently connected with Vincent Chapman Jr and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Vincent, appreciate you sitting with us today to share your wisdom with our readers. So, let’s start with resilience – where do you get your resilience from?
My resilience comes from two places. My strong foundation with God and never forgetting where I came from. I’ve seen that road before, I know what it leads to and I refuse to go back or watch anyone else fall into it if I can help it.

Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?
Right now, I feel like everything I’ve been building is finally coming together. Perfect Tyman is evolving from just an idea into a full movement. From youth sports development, mentorship, new books and a curriculum that actually teaches discipline, financial literacy, leadership and respect. I’m not here to just give kids a jersey, I’m here to give them tools they can use for life.
That same energy is behind the start of the CTX Punishers, a new semi-pro team being formed in Round Rock, Texas, founded by Marco Deas. This isn’t just for football, this is about community presence, accountability and brotherhood. Perfect Tyman and the Punishers align perfectly because both are built to serve, uplift and challenge people to rise above where they came from. We’re building outlets, opportunities and pride right here in our city.
And while all of that is moving forward, I’m still developing my custom portrait art and tattoo career, with plans to plant that permanently in Round Rock as well. Art, sports and mentorship, to me, it’s all connected. These are just different avenues to impact people, give them identity and remind them they matter. At the end of the day, every lane I’m in carries the same mission. Honor God, use your gifts, stay disciplined and make sure the city feels your impact long after the moment passes.

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
Character development, financial literacy and the pursuit of real knowledge are three of the four pillars that shaped my journey and ultimately birthed the vision behind Perfect Tyman. Growing up, I learned that talent and potential mean nothing without character. Discipline, accountability and how you carry yourself when nobody is there to celebrate you, that’s what builds real leaders. That mindset is why Perfect Tyman places character development at the core of youth sports and personal growth. Before you can lead a team, a business or a community, you have to learn how to lead yourself.
Financial literacy was the turning point. There was a moment when I realized most of us don’t lack opportunity, we lack understanding on how to position ourselves to receive it. Learning how money works, how to build instead of just spend and how to use resources as tools instead of temporary rewards changed everything. That’s why Perfect Tyman includes financial education, because our youth need more than motivation, they need structure and a plan. They need to know how to create options, not just chase them.
And knowledge, real knowledge, became the weapon. Not just textbook learning, but applied knowledge. Understanding systems, recognizing patterns, studying what works and using wisdom to move with purpose. That shift from waiting for answers to seeking understanding is what gave me the ability to create, to launch new programs and now to collaborate with organizations like the CTX Punishers to serve the community on a bigger scale. Perfect Tyman isn’t just a brand, it’s a blueprint for empowerment through mindset, strategy and education.
Because once character is aligned, finances are understood and knowledge is continuously pursued, you’re no longer just participating in life, you’re building something that will outlast you.

Okay, so before we go we always love to ask if you are looking for folks to partner or collaborate with?
