We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Garima Arya. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Garima below.
Hi Garima, thank you for being such a positive, uplifting person. We’ve noticed that so many of the successful folks we’ve had the good fortune of connecting with have high levels of optimism and so we’d love to hear about your optimism and where you think it comes from.
My optimism isn’t loud or obvious. It’s quiet, creative, and deeply emotional. It comes from the way I see beauty in small things, memories & constant efforts. I reimagine the world through colour, nostalgia, and story. Even when I feel low, something in me keeps moving: showing up at the gym, creating, loving, caring, reflecting. That steady rhythm is hope disguised as resilience. I feel life deeply, its warmth, ache, and wonder and that sensitivity becomes the fuel. I believe, almost instinctively, that connection, love, and imagination can make things better.
That’s where my optimism lives, not in the forced positivity, but in the quiet faith that beauty and meaning can still be created, even from the ordinary.

Appreciate the insights and wisdom. Before we dig deeper and ask you about the skills that matter and more, maybe you can tell our readers about yourself?
I run a creative video production company called Crust Videos, where art, design, and technology come together to tell emotionally powerful stories. My work blends cinematic storytelling with the latest AI-driven tools — creating visuals that feel nostalgic, modern, and deeply human at the same time.
Before launching Crust Videos, I spent over a decade working as a senior designer for global brands, shaping visual narratives across print, digital, and motion. That experience gave me a deep understanding of how emotion, culture, and visual language connect with audiences — something I now bring into every project we produce.
What excites me most about what I do is the freedom to merge creativity with technology — to make people feel something through storytelling. Whether it’s reimagining classic Indian ads from the 90s or creating futuristic brand films, my goal is to spark connection and nostalgia in a fresh, cinematic way.
We’re currently expanding into AI-powered brand films and short-form storytelling, blending human emotion with cutting-edge visual production. It’s an exciting new chapter for Crust Videos — one that celebrates both art and innovation.

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
Curiosity kept me exploring: From traditional design to motion, storytelling, and now AI. It’s what helps creativity stay alive. My advice: stay endlessly curious, even about things outside your field. Every new influence, a song, a film, a childhood memory, can become part of your creative voice.
Emotional awareness: Whether it’s design or film, you can’t move people unless you feel deeply yourself. Don’t rush through experiences. Observe them, absorb them. The more honestly you feel, the more authentic your work becomes.
Adaptability: That’s what keeps you growing. The creative world changes fast. Instead of resisting new tools or trends, learn how to make them serve your story. When you blend heart with evolving technology, your voice becomes timeless.

Who is your ideal client or what sort of characteristics would make someone an ideal client for you?
My ideal client is someone who believes that stories have a heartbeat. Someone who isn’t afraid to slow down, feel, and create something that truly connects. I’m drawn to people who value emotion over algorithms, who understand that a film, a frame, or even a single moment can move people when it’s made with honesty.
The best collaborations happen when there’s trust and shared curiosity. When a client lets creativity breathe and evolve naturally. I love working with those who see art not as decoration, but as energy, a way to make others feel something real. That’s when the magic happens.
