We recently connected with Alonzo Hayes and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Alonzo , appreciate you sitting with us today to share your wisdom with our readers. So, let’s start with resilience – where do you get your resilience from?
My resilience is like a diamond. Everyone sees the shine, but only I know the pressure it took to create it and the value it truly holds. I compare it to a diamond because I see everything about myself as beautiful, even the parts that others might not understand. I’ve learned how to transform pain and challenges into something meaningful and new. I believe we are all blessed with the gift of creativity and the ability to shape our struggles into strength. My resilience comes from the pressures I faced growing up feeling alone, unseen, and not fitting into who others wanted me to be. Through those experiences, I found my voice, discovered who I truly am, and embraced the person I was becoming.

Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?
Right now, I’m in a season of growth and creation. I’m building my YouTube channel, @aloirahaze, and creating content that feels true to who I am while sharing pieces of my real life and lifestyle as I evolve. I love capturing moments that reflect confidence, creativity, and authenticity, the kind of energy that reminds people to embrace themselves fully.
At the same time, I’m continuing my education and developing my skills, not just in school but in life. I’ve been exploring modeling as another way to express myself and tell my story visually. What excites me most about everything I do is that it’s all connected. Every piece of content, every photo, and every step of growth is part of the bigger picture I’m creating.
For me, it’s about showing that you can chase your goals, evolve in real time, and still have fun with the process. You can find me on all my platforms at @aloirahaze.
Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
The three qualities that have impacted my journey the most are wisdom, faith, and empathy, all gifts that I believe come from God. I’m deeply grateful for them because they’ve guided me through every stage of my growth, both personally and creatively. Wisdom helps me discern what truly matters, faith reminds me that every challenge has purpose, and empathy keeps me grounded in understanding and compassion for others.
My advice to anyone early in their journey is to stay connected to God and trust that you will always have something as long as you have Him. No matter the situation, time, or circumstance, His love and protection never fail. I mean never. I also believe that when you nurture your inner beauty, it radiates outward and becomes a light that touches others. Know your energy, protect your peace, and let your light guide the way.

What do you do when you feel overwhelmed? Any advice or strategies?
When I feel overwhelmed, I like to take a step back and reset. I usually start by praying and journaling, which helps me release my thoughts and reconnect with peace. I also like to go for a run, it clears my mind and gives me a fresh perspective. From there, I focus on rethinking how to handle things more efficiently and logically. I’ve learned that sometimes it’s not about doing more, but about approaching things with clarity and intention.
