Meet Reewa (Reevs)

We were lucky to catch up with Reewa (Reevs) recently and have shared our conversation below.

Reewa (Reevs), thanks so much for taking the time to share your insights and lessons with us today. We’re particularly interested in hearing about how you became such a resilient person. Where do you get your resilience from?

I know exactly what I want, and resilience has become second nature to me because of how deeply I care about achieving it. Music pushes me to keep going, no matter how long it takes or how tough it gets. I’m a perfectionist, so I can spend ages fine-tuning every detail, but that persistence is part of who I am. Nothing makes me happier than finishing a song that feels right and that sense of purpose is what drives me to keep pushing forward, never giving in..

Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?

My music comes from a place of honesty ! every song carries a bit of the pain I’ve lived through, but also the strength that’s come from it. I write for the moments people don’t talk about, when you’re fighting to heal, to understand yourself, or to simply keep going, to remind you that healing is messy, real, and possible. As an independent artist, I turn emotion into energy, and vulnerability into sound.
.My music comes straight from the heart

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?

For me, the three most impactful qualities have been observation, self-motivation, and awareness. Observation taught me to really see! to notice the small details in people, emotions, and moments that others might overlook. That’s where most of my writing starts. Self-motivation kept me going when no one else was watching, when there was no validation, just belief in what I’m building. And awareness !! of myself, my emotions, and my surroundings helped me stay grounded and honest in my music.
For anyone starting out, I’d say: learn to slow down and really observe the world around you. Inspiration often hides in quiet places. Build self-motivation by setting small goals and celebrating progress, even when it feels invisible. And most importantly, work on your awareness ….know who you are, what you stand for, and what you want your art to say. Once you understand that, everything else will start to fall into place

One of our goals is to help like-minded folks with similar goals connect and so before we go we want to ask if you are looking to partner or collab with others – and if so, what would make the ideal collaborator or partner?

I’m always looking to create something real … music that hits deep, feels soulful, and speaks to what teens actually go through. I’d love to collaborate with pop and indie artists who aren’t afraid to step out of the box and make something honest. I’m also open to writing or singing for other artists .. anything that sparks emotion and connection.
If you’re someone who makes music straight from the heart, let’s jam, share ideas, and build something unforgettable.**
