Xxmorrison , appreciate you making time for us and sharing your wisdom with the community. So many of us go through similar pain points throughout our journeys and so hearing about how others overcame obstacles can be helpful. One of those struggles is keeping creativity alive despite all the stresses, challenges and problems we might be dealing with. How do you keep your creativity alive?

I tend to keep my creativity alive by pacing myself and not over-extending my output. I recently took my longest break ever since starting this venture to step back, think about upcoming projects, and let my creativity recharge naturally. Once you get to the point of burn out, your output diminishes in many ways and in turn makes it harder to create and express your creativity. I find it best to travel at a steady pace and not over-extend yourself during the hunt for success.

Area X Studios (AreaXStudios.com) which I founded back in 2020 is the business and brand that most everything I do falls under. It covers everything from my music and releases, clothing line, photo and video shoots, edits, and everything in between. Area X Studios clothing and products mainly follow a space themed streetwear fashion model with everyday wears, or that something special for when you’re trying to stand out from the crowd. If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?

Having the drive to learn and grow, both personally and professionally is a great starting point for any venture like the one I chose. Paired with well rounded problem solving skills able to get you out of tight situations you find yourself in, and mix in the consistency to keep a steady pace of output, and you’re sure to do just fine.

For those of you who are just starting your journey, I’d advise you to listen to your gut, try not to overthink too much, and be as consistent as you can with whatever you choose to do – fully committing to it.

What is the number one obstacle or challenge you are currently facing and what are you doing to try to resolve or overcome this challenge?

I’d say my number one obstacle or challenge at the moment is trying to be consistent and keep up as everything grows and moves forward. I create and manage everything for my brand myself, so it all falls on me at the end of the day (except mastering – shoutout Swam). This includes everything from music production, vocals, lyrics, cover art, canvas, website, clothing line, photos and videos, promotion, and much much more. It’s up to me to continuously raise the bar and get it all out consistently and in a timely manner.

This can lead to stressful situations always trying to juggle tasks at hand, so one way I’ve been combating this is to not overthink things and keep a solid work flow fully completing one task at a time before tackling the next, trying not to let myself get stuck up along the way. Consistency is key, and it’s something I’m still working through.
