Meet Dr. Crystal

We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Dr. Crystal. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Dr. Crystal below.

Dr. Crystal, we’re thrilled to have you on our platform and we think there is so much folks can learn from you and your story. Something that matters deeply to us is living a life and leading a career filled with purpose and so let’s start by chatting about how you found your purpose.

I’ve always known I wanted to be a doctor, even as a little girl, I felt called to help kids and families live healthier, happier lives. When I discovered chiropractic care, my focus at first was on adults and the incredible ways the body can heal when it’s supported naturally.

Everything shifted when I became pregnant with my first child. I began learning more about the power of chiropractic care for babies and children, and that journey deepened even more once my daughter was born. We turned to holistic care including chiropractic and craniosacral therapy, to help with her oral ties, and later for her eczema. Seeing her thrive through gentle, root-cause-focused care changed everything for me.

Now, I have the privilege of supporting other families through the same kind of care that once helped my own. My purpose is to help parents and children feel seen, supported, and truly understood. Guiding them toward healing that lasts from the inside out.

Appreciate the insights and wisdom. Before we dig deeper and ask you about the skills that matter and more, maybe you can tell our readers about yourself?

At Grounded Wellness Chiropractic, I help families; especially moms and babies feel connected, balanced, and supported through gentle chiropractic and acupuncture care. My work focuses on the nervous system, alignment, and the body’s natural ability to heal when we remove stress and restore balance.

What I find most special about this work is watching transformation happen. When a mom finally feels like herself again after birth, when a baby begins feeding comfortably, or when a family learns that healing doesn’t have to be complicated.

I especially love working with babies and helping moms feel heard, truly heard, after they’ve been told that what they’re experiencing is “normal” or that their baby will simply “grow out of it.” Every parent’s intuition matters, and I want them to know their concerns are valid and worth understanding.

My office is built on compassion, education, and trust. Every visit is a chance to listen deeply, address the root cause, and empower families with care that honors both science and intuition. At Grounded Wellness, healing isn’t rushed, it’s grounded, intentional, and deeply personal.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?

Looking back, three qualities and areas of knowledge that have been most impactful in my journey are empathy, curiosity, and understanding the body’s interconnectedness.

Empathy allows me to truly connect with families. To listen, to validate what they’re feeling, and to create a space where healing starts with being heard. In a world where so many moms are told “it’s normal” or “they’ll grow out of it,” empathy helps me meet each family where they are and remind them that their experience matters.

Curiosity keeps me learning. It’s what led me to explore how chiropractic care could help babies, how cranial sacral therapy could support feeding challenges, and how acupuncture could complement family wellness. The more I learn, the more I understand how every part of the body works together.

Understanding anatomy and connection has been foundational. I’ve learned that one small area of tension can create a ripple effect throughout the body. For example, how Torticollis, a simple spasm in the neck, can impact a baby’s ability to latch, create tension throughout the body, alter head shape over time, and lead to facial asymmetry. It’s a reminder that everything in the body is connected, and true healing often starts by finding the root cause, not just addressing symptoms.

For anyone early in their journey, my advice would be:

Lead with compassion. Your heart will always be your most powerful tool.

Never stop learning. The more you understand the “why,” the more intentional your care becomes.

Trust your intuition. Your path might look different than others’, but that’s often where your purpose is found.

Okay, so before we go we always love to ask if you are looking for folks to partner or collaborate with?

Absolutely! I’m always open to connecting with other professionals who share a passion for supporting families through every stage of life. I love collaborating with lactation consultants, speech and occupational therapists, midwives, doulas, bodyworkers, and pediatric and perinatal providers who value a holistic and team-based approach to care.

Collaboration allows us to truly support families, not just treating symptoms, but addressing the full picture of what they’re experiencing. Whether it’s helping a baby with feeding challenges, supporting a mom through postpartum recovery, or guiding a family toward better wellness, I believe healing happens best when we work together.

If you’re interested in collaborating, I’d love to connect! You can reach me through my website or social media.
