Meet Hubert Neal Jr

Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Hubert Neal Jr. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Hi Hubert , appreciate you sitting with us today to share your wisdom with our readers. So, let’s start with resilience – where do you get your resilience from?

I was born with it.

Appreciate the insights and wisdom. Before we dig deeper and ask you about the skills that matter and more, maybe you can tell our readers about yourself?

I use my Art for my activism, which is why I paint subjects such as police brutality against Black people. I have lighter fair because I believe Art should also make you smile.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?

I was born with patience, perseverance, and stubbornness, and those are the reasons I was able to stay on my path. Anyone who wants to pursue a dream, I always ask them if they would pursue it even if they didn’t get paid or received recognition. If your answer is yes, then you have a good chance of succeeding.

If you knew you only had a decade of life left, how would you spend that decade?

Traveling around the world until I collapse in an airport.
