We recently connected with Jarrod Schulz and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Jarrod, thanks for sharing your insights with our community today. Part of your success, no doubt, is due to your work ethic and so we’d love if you could open up about where you got your work ethic from?
My Father

Let’s take a small detour – maybe you can share a bit about yourself before we dive back into some of the other questions we had for you?
I’m a general inspector of structures and I specialize in residential and commercial real estate transactions. My new professionally designed website www.Nevadainspector.com launched recently, and I invite you to stop by to see a variety of information along with pictures of real findings, or you could book an inspection if needed.
There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
The three attributes I feel are most important in my field are punctuality, candor, and resilience. The way I see it, I’m going to be a professional who does the job to the best of my ability regardless of what negativity that’s certain to follow at times. Because let’s face it, when a multi-million dollar property is hanging in the balance, the true nature of everyone involved becomes apparent, and it’s my duty to protect the buyer, even from their own agent at times.
Alright so to wrap up, who deserves credit for helping you overcome challenges or build some of the essential skills you’ve needed?
I’ve worked with several very qualified people who taught me a lot. But my main influence was father Dan. I can remember being 10 years old and him talking about everything positive that a young person needed to hear while we sat having lunch together on 5 gallon paint cans at our job site.
