Meet Trish Lanns

We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Trish Lanns a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.

Trish, appreciate you making time for us and sharing your wisdom with the community. So many of us go through similar pain points throughout our journeys and so hearing about how others overcame obstacles can be helpful. One of those struggles is keeping creativity alive despite all the stresses, challenges and problems we might be dealing with. How do you keep your creativity alive?

I keep my creativity alive by exploring different creative mediums that invite me to learn, play, and stay curious. Whether I’m watercolouring, writing, or simply observing, I try to approach each process with openness and presence. The sensations and discoveries that come through these moments often inspire how I hold space for others. Lately, I’ve been taking watercolour and meditation script writing classes, both of which awaken different parts of my mind and imagination, keeping my creative energy flowing.

Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?

I’m a Sound Bath Meditation Facilitator, EFT-Tapping Practitioner, and Yoga Guide devoted to creating soothing spaces that invite deep relaxation, balance, and clarity. My work supports individuals in regulating their nervous systems, cultivating mindfulness, and releasing stored tension, empowering them to move through life with greater ease and resilience.

Through 1-on-1 EFT/somatic release sessions, sound bath meditations, workplace wellness offerings, collaborative mindfulness experiences, and weekly studio yoga classes, I hold space for others to reconnect with themselves, regulate their nervous systems, and develop self-soothing practices.

My own path toward holistic wellness began in my mid-twenties, when I was navigating social anxiety, generalized anxiety disorder, and depression. These experiences deeply affected my emotional and physical well-being, but through yoga, I discovered a way back to myself. Yoga helped me shift from an overactive mind into a grounded body, creating a sense of calm and helping me find balance within my nervous system.

This transformation inspired me to pursue yoga teacher training, which eventually led me to explore sound bath Meditations and Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT-Tapping), modalities that further deepened my self-care practice and revealed the power of inner healing.

Guided by love and compassion, I weave together sound therapy, somatic practices, movement and breathing exercises to create restorative spaces where others can slow down, reset, and reconnect with their true selves. My intention is to hold a nurturing environment for reflection, connection, and personal growth.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?

Looking back, the three qualities that had the biggest impact on my journey were learning to set healthy boundaries, prioritizing self-care, and trusting my intuition to guide me every step of the way. I’ve also learned the importance of having a supportive community to lean on and asking for help unapologetically when you need it. Remember, setbacks aren’t failures, they’re lessons in disguise that often lead to deeper growth and self-awareness.

Who is your ideal client or what sort of characteristics would make someone an ideal client for you?

My ideal client is a reflection of my past self ,someone who once felt insecure, anxious (especially in social settings), and relied on alcohol to manage stress and overwhelm. A people-pleaser who often puts others first while quietly struggling inside. They’re now ready to find healthier ways to navigate life’s waves, to get uncomfortable, explore the deeper roots of their patterns, and cultivate emotional resilience through somatic practices and mindfulness.
