Meet Antonio Pendergrast

Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Antonio Pendergrast. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Antonio , we’re so excited for our community to get to know you and learn from your journey and the wisdom you’ve acquired over time. Let’s kick things off with a discussion on self-confidence and self-esteem. How did you develop yours?

After covid and exiting a toxic relationship, is when i started to develop my confidence.
During that time i started my healing journey because when i looked in the mirror I no longer noticed who i was. I was the largest i have ever been in my life a little close to 300 lbs. I stepped on the scale and decided to just change my life.

Looking in the mirror every day I saw someone new as i started to lose weight. Once I formed a routine and really stuck to it, it was now to face the hard truths of therapy. When i started therapy that’s when i really noticed it was me but that helped me build my self esteem. Hearing how i wasn’t always right or looking at the glass half full really changed my perspective and lead to start releasing music.

I can feel the feelings i feel but its not always about me and undoing so many people pleasing ways, facing my fears, and just really locking in with myself is how i continue to build my confidence and self esteem.

Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?

I am an upcoming aspiring artist who is very multifaceted.

In 2017, I started a youtube channel called TiggyTv and it did really well! I was doing reactions videos trying to merge in vlogs and just so much content just because I loved being on camera. My videos did really well when i first started just doing reactions, I was on consistent, posted every new music friday and i was really well liked.
I quickly stopped in 2018 because of my relationship but i always remembered i wanted to do more with my life.
Growing up I’ve always sung songs by Mariah Carey, Destiny’s Child, and all the 90’s and early 2000’s R&B divas with my mom. That’s eventually where my love for music came from, I remember growing up and always just being in front of the radio blasting music just because I loved how it made me feel.

After countless attempts of trying to comeback to YouTube and not really sticking to it, I eventually gained the courage to face my first love which was singing. I knew growing up I always wanted to be a singer but never ever posted myself singing.

I finally gained the courage to fully start posting videos and drop my very first project “Self Motivation” in 2024. It was huge push but i knew I could sing I just needed to let the world know If i ever wanted to take it seriously. I felt so accomplished after that but I wanted more.

I knew that in this digital day and age of music I would had to really get out there but something in me was still very nervous even after the drop. I promoted and promoted but I just didn’t feel i was getting anything so i got discouraged.

In the start of 2025, I went through another big shift in my life and I put it all in the music. I knew at this point i was living to create and my outlet was my music so i couldn’t be afraid any more. I am currently gearing up for my second release of my new project “414”. This project is really something special as i created within the span of 4 months and still going, but it’s just really symbolic because of the growth that i have made and encountered.

My new song “warning” will be out on 10.17.2025 and only taste what to expect.

Im planning on dong way more with this music because I am so comfortable with. I really feel it’s something for everyone on here and I really hope people and enjoy it when it drops.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?

Three things that were most impactful to my growth were: Therapy, Self dedication, and Willpower.

Its Essential.

Therapy will help you because seeing things from a different perspective will help you grow in ways that you didn’t think you could all by just finding an outlet.

Self dedication and willpower are almost the thing but you need drive and these two work hand in hand for with that.

Never give up even when it gets hard because it only gets easier the more you practice and per serve.

What has been your biggest area of growth or improvement in the past 12 months?

Just continuing to depend on myself and leaning on therapy.

After making a promise to my therapist that i would release new music and staying true to that.
I typically get so consumed by life and things im going through that i would constantly loose myself but this time i did now and i extremely proud to keep going and see where this year takes me.
