Meet Tury Rodriguez

Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Tury Rodriguez. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Tury, looking forward to learning from your journey. You’ve got an amazing story and before we dive into that, let’s start with an important building block. Where do you get your work ethic from?

My mother, watching her hustle as a kid really taught me if I wanted to be good at something or succeed I would have to put in the time and effort on top of having talent

Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?

I am an up and coming recording artists based in Miami FL, I grew up playing drums but eventually switched over to recording songs/production on Ableton. I primarily make music in Spanish but I throw in some English too as I am of Puerto Rican descent and that’s very popular among my people. We plan on dropping merch soon for my brand and also performance dates as well!

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?

Learning from my elders such as musicians I worked with or was just friends with growing up and seeing how they operate on stage and how fearless they were. My mother teacher me to be a leader and not a follower really helped me gain confidence in whatever it was I was pursuing. And finally being a student of what I loved because the ability to learn something new everyday is a blessing.

Okay, so before we go, is there anyone you’d like to shoutout for the role they’ve played in helping you develop the essential skills or overcome challenges along the way?

My mami has definitely helped me a ton with overcoming challenges and obstacles in my life and I owe her the world. Close friends since day one have been there for me and talked me through the rough patches!
