Meet Dre Lov

Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Dre Lov. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Hi Dre, appreciate you sitting with us today to share your wisdom with our readers. So, let’s start with resilience – where do you get your resilience from?

My resilience comes from my father. I’ve seen him always make a way out of no way and never made no excuse as to why he couldn’t do what he needed to do to take care of his family. My dad was very heavy on handling your business at all times.

Let’s take a small detour – maybe you can share a bit about yourself before we dive back into some of the other questions we had for you?

I am a stand-up comedian and content creator from Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The most exciting thing about what I do is that I’m able to give joy to people that may be going through something in their life and I can be able to provide a smile or a laugh. I’m just a person that just wants to follow the purpose that I’ve been given. Right now I am on tour with Comedian, Myron Jewells for the “world‘s greatest dad” tour you can follow my social handle @drelovcomed( IG, TikTok) and Dre Lov (FB)

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?

First off stage presence because that’s always needed whenever going into the line of work that I am in. Learning that it’s not what you say, but it’s how you say it sometimes words can just be funny, but how you say, those words make it more impactful. Lastly teamwork, you can’t do this alone. It may seem like something where people do it by themselves by having a team as always, a good component to better develop. The advice I have for anybody that’s starting out is learn everything that you can take the good parts of it and move the bad parts out.

What was the most impactful thing your parents did for you?

Giving me the belief that I could do anything I want if I put my mind to it.
