Meet Danielle Velasquez

Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Danielle Velasquez. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Danielle, so great to have you with us today. There are so many topics we want to ask you about, but perhaps the one we can start with is burnout. How have you overcome or avoided burnout?

I overcame burnout by taking a step back and getting honest about what truly fulfilled me. I started focusing my time and energy on the things—and people—that gave me life, instead of draining it. Letting go of what no longer served me wasn’t easy, but it was necessary. We only get one life, and I didn’t want to spend mine feeling empty or disconnected. Reconnecting with my purpose reminded me why I started in the first place, and that shift brought my passion back in a healthier, more grounded way.

Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?

I’ve always believed that design is more than furniture and finishes—it’s about creating spaces that reflect how people truly want to live. With a background rooted in business development and sales, I co-founded Cole Mateo Co. with my business partner to bring elevated, timeless interiors to life.

Every project begins with a vision: your story, your lifestyle, your goals. Our role is to translate that into a space that feels both luxurious and livable—spaces that inspire connection, comfort, and confidence.

Cole Mateo Co. is a full-service interior design and furnishings firm launching. We specialize in modern luxury interiors that balance clean lines, natural textures, and sophisticated details. From curated furniture collections to bespoke design services, we help clients achieve elevated living that’s both stylish and functional.

What sets us apart is our commitment to quality, access, and service. We partner with top vendors, offer exclusive collections, and provide white-glove delivery options, ensuring that every detail is handled seamlessly.

Our mission is simple: to create spaces that don’t just look beautiful—but feel like home.

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?

The three qualities that have set me apart are resilience, malleability, and drive. I’ve learned that resilience is what keeps you standing when everything feels uncertain—it’s the quiet strength that helps you rebuild and keep going. Being malleable has allowed me to adapt, pivot, and evolve without losing sight of my bigger vision. And drive is the fire that pushes me to keep creating, learning, and showing up even when it’s hard. To anyone just starting out, I’d say: don’t wait until you have it all figured out. Start where you are, stay flexible, and trust that consistency will take you further than perfection ever will.

One of our goals is to help like-minded folks with similar goals connect and so before we go we want to ask if you are looking to partner or collab with others – and if so, what would make the ideal collaborator or partner?

Right now, we’re also growing our team and actively hiring affiliate marketers to help promote our products and design services. If you’re passionate about interiors, entrepreneurship, or building something meaningful, we’d love to connect with you.
