We recently connected with Amanda Abruzzo and have shared our conversation below.
Amanda, we’re thrilled to have you on our platform and we think there is so much folks can learn from you and your story. Something that matters deeply to us is living a life and leading a career filled with purpose and so let’s start by chatting about how you found your purpose.
Honestly, I never really knew what my purpose was and I still question it sometimes. But I’ve learned that life is about learning lessons and growth. In dentistry, I learned the importance of caring for people in a vulnerable state while navigating all kinds of personalities along the way. I think that really translated into real estate and how to guide people through major life changes, and building Let’s Go Girls reminded me just how powerful community can be. Somewhere in between, I realized my purpose is to connect people, create meaningful experiences, and help others grow both personally and professionally. It’s not about one defining moment, but about following what lights you up until everything starts to make sense.

Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?
I wear a few different hats, but everything I do comes back to connection and community. I’m a San Diego Realtor who loves helping people navigate one of the biggest decisions of their lives, buying or selling a home with confidence and care. Beyond real estate, I’m the founder of Let’s Go Girls, a women’s community that’s grown to over 44,000 members on Facebook over the past five years and nearing 10,000 on Instagram in just a few months. What started as a few local meetups has turned into a movement centered around friendship, growth, and collaboration, with events like networking nights, bonfires, and creative workshops that bring women together in real life.
What excites me most is seeing how genuine connection can lead to so much more- new friendships, business partnerships, and a real sense of belonging. Now, I’m taking things a step further by teaching other Realtors how to get involved in their own communities and use connection as the foundation of their business. We’re also expanding with more San Diego events, new sponsorship opportunities for local brands, and community-driven projects that continue to make this space feel special. It’s been amazing to watch something that started as a small idea grow into something that truly changes lives.

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
Growth has shaped every stage of my path, from learning through challenges to evolving in new careers and opportunities. Connection has always been at the center of what I do, whether caring for people, guiding clients in real estate, or creating spaces for women to support each other. Consistency has been what keeps everything moving forward, even when the next step isn’t clear.
For anyone early in their journey, focus on your growth by staying curious and open to learning. Build genuine connections by showing up authentically, and remember that consistent effort creates real results over time. Keep showing up for yourself and your vision, and you’ll start to see how everything connects.

Do you think it’s better to go all in on our strengths or to try to be more well-rounded by investing effort on improving areas you aren’t as strong in?
I’ve learned that it’s better to go all in on your strengths. When you focus on what you naturally do well, you build momentum faster and create space for real confidence and impact. I used to always want my hands in every pot, but my brother Wess helped focus me on my strengths. For example, at one point, I wanted to get into the supplement industry, and he told me, “Amanda, do what you already know. You know real estate, and you know community really well, so figure out how to combine that.”
That advice completely changed my direction. Once I leaned into what came naturally, like connecting with people, creating spaces for community, and guiding others, everything started to align. I truly believe your strengths are your roadmap. It’s not about trying to be great at everything, but about going all in on what you do best and surrounding yourself with people who complement the rest.
