We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Savannah Duffey. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Savannah below.
Hi Savannah, we’re so appreciative of you taking the time to share your nuggets of wisdom with our community. One of the topics we think is most important for folks looking to level up their lives is building up their self-confidence and self-esteem. Can you share how you developed your confidence?
That’s a great question. I honestly believe developing self-esteem and confidence is an ongoing journey. Something that ebbs and flows with different seasons of life. There are days I feel incredibly confident because I’ve built a business from the ground up and have been “making it” as a personal trainer since I was 20. But I’ve learned that kind of confidence can only take you so far.
If I want confidence that’s steady and unshakable, it can’t come from achievements or appearance… it has to come from my Savior, Jesus. Anything else I build my confidence on will eventually show cracks. There will always be a better trainer, a prettier person, a smarter person. But the confidence and self-worth that come from God- the truth that He created me intentionally, died for me, and calls me worthy- that’s the kind that lasts. That’s the foundation I return to when everything else feels uncertain.

Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?
I’m the owner of 31:17 Fit, a faith-based personal training business where I help women build strength, confidence, and consistency—physically and mentally. I started training at 20, and what began as a passion for fitness has grown into a mission to help women feel empowered in their own skin and find lasting confidence through faith. What makes 31:17 Fit special is that it’s more than just workouts—it’s about creating a safe, uplifting space for women to grow stronger without comparison or pressure.
I also run Rooted in Eve, my creative side business where I make natural sugar scrubs, faith-based glass cups, and stickers that remind women of their God-given beauty and worth. It’s been such a joy to build something that combines faith, creativity, and encouragement in tangible form.
Right now, I’m focused on expanding both brands—growing my online coaching programs through 31:17 Fit and launching new product collections for Rooted in Eve that tie self-care and scripture together. My mission through everything I do is simple: to help women feel strong, confident, and deeply rooted in who God says they are.

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
Looking back, the three things that shaped my journey most are faith-led perseverance, connection, and discipline.
Faith-led perseverance has kept me going through the ups and downs of running a business—I’ve learned to trust God’s calling more than the results I see. Connection is huge too; whether it’s training clients or running my creative business, people need to feel seen and supported first. And discipline—showing up even when I don’t feel like it—has been key to consistency and growth.
For anyone starting out, I’d say: stay anchored in your why, lead with empathy, and show up every day. Growth comes from faithfulness, not perfection.

Who is your ideal client or what sort of characteristics would make someone an ideal client for you?
My ideal client is a woman ready to grow stronger, gain confidence, and feel empowered in a supportive, uplifting space.
