Meet Asya Olson

Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Asya Olson. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Hi Asya, thank you for being such a positive, uplifting person. We’ve noticed that so many of the successful folks we’ve had the good fortune of connecting with have high levels of optimism and so we’d love to hear about your optimism and where you think it comes from.
My optimism comes from all the amazing examples around that inspire me. All the successful creators and business owners that I meet all the time. They were able to become successful through the hard work which means everyone can, we just need to keep trying. I do see results of my work too. If sometimes these results feel not big enough I look at the people who inspire me again.

Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?
My brand is all about exploring and sharing my knowledge and experience through photography and blogging.

I help brands build their visual portfolio and to grow their popularity online. I work with a lot of local brands in California, and also some international companies. I focus mostly on travel destination, unique experiences and hidden gems.

I also offer help with creating travel itineraries to everyone who wants to take a deep dive into California destinations, along with photography/videography and social media coaching.

I recently launched a custom California Map to help my followers explore our beautiful state. It has lots of unique local destinations to make vacations more fun, and I keep perfecting it.

I also currently working on a Travel Photography class that I’m planning to launch later this year.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
I’d say one thing that helped me the most is understanding of dynamic nature of the internet and constantly researching for updates and trends. Utilizing all the newest social media features and popular tools helps you to be one step ahead of the market. Second skill that helped me is photography. Nowadays everyone can be an influencer, you don’t actually need photography skills. However if you do have them it makes your life a little easier as you can achieve faster and more impressive results. Third helpful quality is readiness to take risks and not being afraid to fail. So much new knowledge comes with those failures!

What has been your biggest area of growth or improvement in the past 12 months?
The past 12 months were huge for me. It is when I finally turned my content creation hobby and “small side business” into a full time job. The growth mostly happened on the backend. I am still doing the same but now I finally registered a company, started selling my digital products, hired first two people to help me and started treating it all like a real job. Wish me luck!
