Meet Justin Decker

Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Justin Decker. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Justin, so good to have you with us today. We’ve always been impressed with folks who have a very clear sense of purpose and so maybe we can jump right in and talk about how you found your purpose?

Years ago my wife and I faced a major health crisis. My wife almost died due to an undiagnosed bowel blockage. Miraculously the doctors saved my wife’s life, but the crisis didn’t end. For years afterwards we were barraged with collections and bills from the hospital putting us in financial ruin. To add salt to the wound we were told we had to take very destructive and expensive drugs so that my wife wouldn’t die in the future.

We were lost, tired, poor, and so lost. We soon found out that we were one of many who had the same experience.

My goal is to make health simple, accessible, and affordable so that people don’t ever have our experience again.

Appreciate the insights and wisdom. Before we dig deeper and ask you about the skills that matter and more, maybe you can tell our readers about yourself?

I make healthcare simple, affordable, and accessible. I work with health companies to build and create unique health options. Personally I am a Certified Athletic Trainer and I specialize in preventative health, injury diagnostics, and manual therapies. I’m passionate about helping people know how to live the longest and healthiest lives possible without having to spend an insane amount of money.

Athlecare is my first company and is the nation’s first preprimary care clinic. We help with patient advocacy, giving access injury rehabilitation and prevention services, referring to specialists, building recovery programs, and doing lifestyle training. The best part about it is you get all of this in one simple monthly payment. Again making health simple, accessible, and affordable.

We are partnered with New Wave Medical Network. Through their network we can provide unlimited primary care and urgent care options. You can get access to doctors anywhere, anytime, any place.

We hope to be able to expand our network and services soon, but we are more than thrilled with the doctors and health professionals we have brought in the network and what they have already done for our people.

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?

I don’t know what the word is for this, but I believe it is important to develop your own opinions. Most people only have opinions based on what they see from social media. Going into research, asking real life people, doing your own meditation/ponderings, and gaining experience are the best ways to learn your own opinions and beliefs. Find your truth.

I’ve spent many hours learning about systems and strategy. I believe systems and strategies are the ways to true change and growth. It is very hard to make a complicated issue simple, but with the proper strategies and systems anything can be done.

Human development and psychology are important areas to understand. We are all here to grow and many people forget to keep learning and growing. If you want to become more than you are now and learn to empathize with others I think these two areas of knowledge are beneficial.

One of our goals is to help like-minded folks with similar goals connect and so before we go we want to ask if you are looking to partner or collab with others – and if so, what would make the ideal collaborator or partner?

I want to connect with those who are trying to heal the world. I am a part of health network that aims to make health simple, accessible, and affordable. We are looking for partners, ideas, and products that can help us in health, wellness, and longevity.
