We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Jackeline Perez a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Jackeline , we’re thrilled to have you sharing your thoughts and lessons with our community. So, for folks who are at a stage in their life or career where they are trying to be more resilient, can you share where you get your resilience from?
I get my resilience from the refusing to remain complacent. I always knew I was different ever since I was a kid. I always wanted to be the best at everything that I do and make sure I give it my 100% effort. I have hopes, goals, and dreams that I would like to accomplish. I know that our time here on earth is limited and I want to give this life my best efforts.

Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?
I believe the most important part of my brand is community. I love bringing people together in healthy environments and what better way to do so than in a gym setting. We are all striving to look and feel better and my mission is to have people come together and do the things that are hard in a motivating and safe environment. Most people want to get healthier but lack guidance or have had bad experiences in the past that had either caused them give up do due the fear of failure. At Jacked Gym, we don’t strive for perfection but rather consistency. I want it to be known that you can be vulnerable and strong at the same time; that to me is power. I will stop at nothing to help as many men and women achieve their fitness goals and get a place where they feel strong as well as happy and confident in their own skin. To be Jacked does not just refer to muscles, but rather all areas of your life. Let’s build each other up and GET JACKED!

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
Three qualities that are most were most impactful on my journey was perseverance, optimism, and faith. Three skills that I have are people skills, being bilingual, and being coachable. Advice I have for folks who are early in their. journey is to learn as much as possible, invest in yourself, and never give up.

Okay, so before we go, is there anyone you’d like to shoutout for the role they’ve played in helping you develop the essential skills or overcome challenges along the way?
The most helpful in helping me overcome challenges has been my family and my mentors. They haven guided me and inspired me to become the best version of myself.
