We were lucky to catch up with Justin Langhill recently and have shared our conversation below.
Justin, looking forward to learning from your journey. You’ve got an amazing story and before we dive into that, let’s start with an important building block. Where do you get your work ethic from?
I’d say my work ethic comes from two main places.
First, it comes from the passion that God instilled in me for what I do. I may not have all the answers or get everything right, but I know I’m doing what I’m meant to do. I believe in the purpose behind my work, and that belief fuels me every day. That passion gives me endurance, not motivation. I believe that be different—it all keeps me going through long hours, uncertainty, and challenges—because I know the mission is bigger than me.
Second, it comes from the understanding that there’s always a choice—do the hard thing you love, or do the hard thing you don’t. Life doesn’t get easier; you just get stronger through what you choose to face. I’ve always believed in the phrase “choose your hard.” For me, that means working hard for something meaningful now to avoid working even harder later for something I don’t want or a position I don’t belong in.
That mindset keeps me grounded and grateful. Every challenge is a reminder that I get to wake up and work toward something I’m passionate about.

Let’s take a small detour – maybe you can share a bit about yourself before we dive back into some of the other questions we had for you?
Professionally, my focus is on helping golfers transform the way they play by changing the way they train. I’m the founder of Reborn Golf, a golf performance brand built on one simple but powerful idea — that the body is the foundation of every great golf swing. My background as both a former professional baseball player and a certified golf-fitness and swing coach has given me a unique perspective on the body-swing connection.
What excites me most about what I do is seeing that “light-bulb moment” when a client realizes or understands something that they were far off on after years of trying to self-diagnose. When their body starts working with them instead of against them, the game completely changes. I get to be part of that breakthrough.
Reborn Golf is built around bridging the gap between traditional swing lessons and golf-specific fitness. My programs are designed to make improvement accessible, personal, and sustainable. Every plan starts with understanding how your body moves — and then teaching you how to move better so you can play better.
What makes my brand special is its personal touch and laid-back focus. Every client gets individualized feedback, video breakdowns, and fitness programming that fit their schedule and lifestyle. I also create educational content for golfers worldwide through social media and YouTube — showing that improvement doesn’t require endless range sessions, but rather a smarter approach to how your body performs.
This year, I’ve expanded into more remote and virtual coaching, allowing golfers anywhere to experience Reborn Golf through online programs and personalized video feedback. I’m also developing a new digital course series called The Ground-Up Golf System, which teaches golfers how to build mobility, strength, and consistency from the ground up.
At its core, Reborn Golf isn’t just about the sport — it’s about helping people rediscover confidence, movement, and purpose through golf. My mission is to continue changing the way golfers think about improvement — from “fixing the swing” to understanding and training the body that swings the club.
There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
1.Use your network.
I can honestly say I wouldn’t be where I am today if I hadn’t leaned on my network early on. My first client was the wife of a golfing buddy — that one connection led to my first sale, which built confidence and started everything. Every opportunity since then has stemmed from people I’ve met, talked to, or simply stayed in touch with. Whether it’s finding clients, understanding accounting, building systems, don’t be afraid to reach out for help.
2. Don’t wait for perfect — start anyway.
Perfection can be the biggest anchor to progress. I used to “wait to release” until the website, or structure was “ready”, but I quickly learned that no one else cares if it’s perfect — they care if it’s helpful. You’re also always going to be tweaking and adjusting things. Launch before you’re ready, and fix what’s broken as you go. The process of improving in real time will teach you far more than waiting for the “right time” ever will.
3. Believe deeply in what you’re doing.
If you don’t truly believe in what you’re offering — whether it’s a product, service, or idea — it will show the moment things get tough. There will be slow seasons, long nights, and moments where you. feel like the bills won’t get paid. The only thing that carries you through is conviction. For me, that belief comes from knowing that what I do genuinely helps people. That’s what keeps me grounded and consistent when motivation fades.

Is there a particular challenge you are currently facing?
Right now, my biggest challenge is earning back more of my time. When you’re a one-person operation, it’s extremely difficult to “turn it off.” You’re wearing every hat, and that can make it feel like you’re working around the clock. The upside is that I get to call the shots and shape the direction of my business. The downside is that days can disappear quickly, and sometimes it can feel like you didn’t accomplish enough, even though you never stopped working.
To overcome this, I’m learning how to build better systems, structure, and organization into the business. Those skills save time and create clarity. I also invested in a business coach, and that decision has been a game-changer. My coach helped me refine my messaging, improve how I market my services, and navigate challenges she has already experienced herself. Having someone in your corner who has “been there, done that” gives you confidence and direction.
I don’t think anyone ever becomes completely immune to the chaos of entrepreneurship, but I do believe in getting better at navigating it. And right now, it feels good to know I’m headed in the right direction.
