Meet Lauren Prince

We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Lauren Prince a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.

Lauren, thanks for taking the time to share your thoughts with us today. We’re excited to dive into your story and your work, but first let’s start with a broader topic that might be stopping many of our readers from pursuing their dreams – haters, nay-sayers, etc. How have you managed to persist despite haters and nay-sayers that inevitably follow folks who are doing something unique, special or off the beaten path?

They really motivate me to work harder and focus my energy on continually improving my business. I try to remind myself how important these classes are for women in their postpartum journeys, my own included. I really am so proud of the supportive community we’ve built at Mama Barre.

Let’s take a small detour – maybe you can share a bit about yourself before we dive back into some of the other questions we had for you?

I bring motherhood and movement together through weekly Mommy & Me Barre and Pilates classes. These sessions are open to all ages and stages, from pregnancy to moms chasing toddlers around like me. After class, we take time to connect and let our little ones play. I also love collaborating with other small businesses and hosting monthly Barre events that treat both moms and babies to something special. For our next event we are partnering with Mother Acres featuring movement, community, and smash burgers after class!

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?

I’d say it took courage to take the leap and step into the unknown, perseverance to push through the slow and uncertain times, and determination that I feel to keep growing Mama Barre. My advice is to push through the uncertainty and pour your energy into what you’re truly passionate about!

How can folks who want to work with you connect?

Absolutely! I’m always open to partnering with businesses that align with mine- whether it’s studio spaces, wellness brands, or drink vendors. My goal is to create meaningful experiences for moms where they feel loved, supported, and connected, while bringing our brands together in an authentic way. Anyone interested in collaborating can connect with me through social media or via my website!
