We recently connected with Nichole Ogburn and have shared our conversation below.
Nichole, first a big thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts and insights with us today. I’m sure many of our readers will benefit from your wisdom, and one of the areas where we think your insight might be most helpful is related to imposter syndrome. Imposter syndrome is holding so many people back from reaching their true and highest potential and so we’d love to hear about your journey and how you overcame imposter syndrome.
I overcame imposter syndrome by learning to honor my evidence instead of my emotions. For years, I downplayed my wins and moved on as if those wins were small—but once I started tracking results, feedback, and growth, I could see proof that I was qualified and called.
I thought about all of the accomplishments and how I persevered despite my circumstances. I stopped second-guessing myself and started showing up as the version of me that my purpose required. Confidence came when I realized I didn’t need to feel ready —I just needed to move anyway.
Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?
1I help business women pause long enough to realign their purpose with their plans—so they can build without burning out. Through my Hustle & Heal Blueprint, I teach how to merge mindset, money, and movement to create lasting success from the inside out. What excites me most is watching women rediscover themselves (or find their purpose)—the moment they realize they don’t have to choose between peace and progress. My brand is rooted in transparency and transformation; everything I create—from journals and courses to workshops—is designed to help women build with clarity and confidence.
This year, I’m expanding the Hustle & Heal experience with new virtual courses, workshops, and speaking engagements that focus on alignment as the true pathway to growth.
If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
The three most impactful qualities in my journey have been Trust/Resilience, self-awareness, and strategy. Trust/Resilience kept me moving when things didn’t go as planned. Self-awareness helped me pause, pivot, and grow instead of repeating old patterns, especially with self-doubt. Strategy allowed me to turn passion into structure so my purpose could actually produce results and help others do the same.
For anyone early in their journey—learn to give yourself grace while staying disciplined. Reflect often and drain the noise so you can see what’s working and what’s not. Don’t just move—measure. Think about your strengths and feedback you have received from others. The more intentional you are with your time, mindset, and energy, the faster you’ll build something that actually lasts.
Any advice for folks feeling overwhelmed?
I like this question because not only is this subject personal for me, but it’s one so many women struggle with—trying to balance multiple businesses, a 9–5, and everything in between. When I feel overwhelmed, I remind myself that balance isn’t the goal—prioritization is. Balance makes us think everything deserves equal time, but that’s not realistic. Some seasons require more focus in one area than another, and that’s okay. I pause, look at what’s truly essential for that moment, and give myself permission to release what’s not.
My advice: stop chasing balance and start practicing alignment—because peace comes from knowing what deserves your energy right now, not trying to do it all at once. Just because we can do it all means we should!
