Meet Kandice Hopkins

Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Kandice Hopkins. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Kandice, we’re thrilled to have you sharing your thoughts and lessons with our community. So, for folks who are at a stage in their life or career where they are trying to be more resilient, can you share where you get your resilience from?

Resilience has been the heartbeat of my journey. From childhood battles with asthma and early adversity to becoming a mother at 19 while in college, every setback became a setup for growth. I paused school, later earning my master’s in social work which is proof that detours don’t stop destiny.

In 2018, I lost my granny, the woman who helped raise me, to lung cancer a loss that left a lasting void. During my grieving process, I entered a relationship that led to the birth of my youngest son in June 2020, right in the middle of the pandemic. When things didn’t work out, I found myself navigating life as a single mother of two, discovering a new level of strength and resilience I never knew I had.

In 2022, tragedy struck again when I lost my mother to heart failure caused by COVID complications. I was forced to take a leave of absence to manage my mother’s affairs, I leaned on faith and creativity, birthing my first business Major Kreations an event rental and décor company. That step ignited my entrepreneurial spirit.

After moving to Texas as a single mom, I was laid off unexpectedly weeks after buying my first home. Four months later, a conversation about financial services connected me to mentors who lived with financial freedom and independence. Which inspired me to launched The Wealth Kulture a movement teaching families financial literacy, retirement strategies and legacy building.

Today, I live my life as a mom on a mission raising legends, inspiring others (especially moms) to live the life they deserve and desire, and showing that faith, freedom, and purpose can coexist.

Because if I made it through it all, so can you. And when fear tries to creep in I remind myself
“I can’t have faith and fear at the same time, so I choose faith. Therefore, I took the pen back and started writing the story God intended for my life, not the one the world tried to give me.

Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?

What I love most about what I do is the freedom to create my own schedule, be fully present for my boys and their extracurricular activities, and control my earning potential, something I never had working for someone else. What excites me most is helping people shift their mindset from survival to thriving by showing them that wealth isn’t just about money; it’s about freedom, purpose, and breaking cycles.

As the Founder of The Wealth Kulture, I help families build financial freedom through education and empowerment strategies. I’m expanding through workshops and community events that show entrepreneurial minded people how to create additional income streams alongside what they already do.

I also own Major Kreations, an event décor and rental business that blossomed from creativity and faith. What makes both brands special is that they reflect my real-life journey of resilience, reinvention, and restoration.

I’m a mom on a mission to raise legends and inspire other mothers to live the life they deserve and desire both financially and emotionally.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?

Looking back, the three qualities that shaped my journey most were faith, resilience, and adaptability.

Faith kept me grounded when everything around me felt uncertain. It reminded me that purpose doesn’t disappear just because plans change. My advice to anyone starting out is to stay rooted in your “why” even when you can’t see the full picture, trust that God’s plan is greater than your own.

Resilience allowed me to bounce back from loss, single motherhood, and starting over in a new state. Resilience isn’t about never breaking — it’s about refusing to stay broken. Strengthen it by surrounding yourself with people who speak life into you and remind you who you are when life tries to make you forget.

And adaptability has been my superpower. Every pivot from therapy to entrepreneurship taught me something new. I stayed open to growth. My advice: stay open to change and never stop learning. Don’t be afraid to start over, the more flexible you are, the more room you give God to move in your life.

Okay, so before we go we always love to ask if you are looking for folks to partner or collaborate with?

Absolutely! I’m always looking to connect with purpose-driven individuals who are passionate about helping others grow financially, mentally, and spiritually. Through The Wealth Kulture, my mission is to build a massive, network of leaders who are committed to breaking cycles of limited beliefs, poverty mindsets, and generational struggle.

I want to collaborate with entrepreneurs, single moms, married moms, fathers, educators, coaches, and community leaders who believe in financial literacy, freedom, and faith as tools for transformation. Together, we can change the narrative of wealth in our culture, one family at a time.

Major Kreations brings creativity and joy to every event with stunning balloon designs, décor, and rentals. I’m passionate about sponsoring community events and collaborations that bring people together in meaningful ways. My clients include schools, nonprofits, churches, small businesses, real estate agents, and event planners who want to make lasting impressions. Major Kreations isn’t just about décor, it’s about connection, creativity, and community impact.
