Meet GRÆY

We caught up with the brilliant and insightful GRÆY a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.

Hi GRÆY, so excited to have you with us today, particularly to get your insight on a topic that comes up constantly in the community – overcoming creativity blocks. Any thoughts you can share with us?

The thing I’ve learned with “blocks” when it comes to creativity is just to start with whatever first comes to your head even if it’s not what you wanna express in that moment sometimes your brain needs a little start up to really dig deep into your head sometimes on the surface of your thoughts it’s crowded with everyday life things so it’s always better to peel those layers back and get to the good stuff

Appreciate the insights and wisdom. Before we dig deeper and ask you about the skills that matter and more, maybe you can tell our readers about yourself?

I go by GRÆY and I’m a musician/ model. I record everything myself and mix and master myself as well I’ve been recording myself for about 5 years now and I can confidently say now that I’ve conditioned myself to be comfortable enough in any room I step in musically.

I have 3 projects that I’m working on at the moment with 3 completely different sounds I’m shooting to release one during the end of the year and the other toward spring of 2026
At the moment I’m working on singles
And I’m also working on a collab project at the moment with “Seezyn”

One thing I hope my supporters get from me is to always expect the unexpected

Be looking for future shows and events for projects releases soon

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?

Music is just like a sport
You have to train
And the more you train the better you get
You’re never gonna be perfect at the beginning
I treat my home studio like a court in my backyard I just keep shooting till I get that that perfect jumpshot

Okay, so before we go we always love to ask if you are looking for folks to partner or collaborate with?

Ooouuu there’s so many
Off the top of my head
Tame impala is a big one
Tana would be a fun one
I wish I got to do something with x (xxxtentacion) and juice wrld before they passed
Paramore would be cool too
Jaden smith
The 1975 would be fire
The big 3 from opium
2hollis I think me and him would actually make people faint
