We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Natasia Nolan-Hodge a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Natasia, appreciate you sitting with us today to share your wisdom with our readers. So, let’s start with resilience – where do you get your resilience from?
My resilience comes from faith. I’ve had some challenging seasons in my life, and I’ve learned that God always has a reason for what He allows. I’ve learned to cultivate a mindset where instead of asking “why me,” I’ve learned to ask “what is this teaching me?” That shift has helped me to move through difficulty with a bit more ease.
Additionally, I stopped seeing hard seasons as setbacks and started seeing them as preparation. They’ve taught me to listen and trust deeper; knowing my strength doesn’t come from having it all figured out. It comes from knowing I’m being guided, even when I can’t see the full picture.
At the end of the day, I keep going because I believe what I’m doing matters. That’s what keeps me grounded, faith, purpose, and peace in knowing there is purpose in the pain.

Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?
I’m the founder of Insp1ration Coaching & Consulting, where I help leaders and organizations build systems that develop people, strengthen culture, and drive sustainable growth. My background is in organizational strategy and leadership development, and I’ve spent nearly two decades helping businesses turn potential into performance. What I’ve always loved most about this work is seeing how much stronger organizations become when they invest in their people. When employees are supported, engaged, and equipped to succeed, everything changes. Performance improves, retention increases, and the workplace becomes a place people are proud to belong to.
My passion for careers and growth started early. I got my first job at 15 after meeting a woman during a volunteer event at the library who mentioned that she and her husband owned a fast-food franchise. I asked how to apply, met with the general manager, and was hired. From that moment, I understood that opportunity often begins with curiosity and initiative. Over the years, I’ve also learned that resilience isn’t just about pushing through; it’s about learning through every season. There were times I felt overlooked or on the short end of the stick, but those experiences shaped my purpose. They taught me to see challenges differently and not to run from lessons I needed to learn. That perspective now guides how I coach leaders and design systems with fairness, growth, and opportunity at the center.
Right now, I’m focused on expanding Insp1ration Coaching & Consulting’s leadership programs and strategic tools to meet the realities of today’s workplace. Given the recent economic shifts in the U.S. and globally, many people are realizing that the old rules for success no longer apply. This moment offers a unique opportunity for organizations to reimagine what right-sizing and resourcing can look like when budgets are tight, and for individuals to rethink what’s possible in their own careers.
To support that, I’m developing a new workshop called the Strategic Pivot Intensive, where participants will identify their accomplishments and strengths through a guided story bank exercise, explore industries where their skills are in high demand, and design a plan to move forward, whether that means pursuing a new role or building a business of their own. It’s designed to help people find clarity and momentum again, because when we understand the value we bring, we find the confidence to take the next step forward.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
Looking back, three qualities have shaped my journey more than anything else: being open to learn, cultivating confidence, and staying adaptable.
First, being open and willing to learn has been foundational. I’ve learned just as much from people and environments as I have from formal education. When you stay curious instead of assuming you already know, you start to see lessons everywhere. That openness has helped me grow, relate to others, and navigate spaces where I might have otherwise felt out of place.
Second, cultivating confidence. I believe most of us have a sense of what we’re called to do early in life, even if we can’t put words to it. Sometimes that uniqueness makes us stand out in ways that invite criticism or doubt. I’ve experienced that too. But I’ve learned that our gifts aren’t meant to be hidden. Confidence comes from understanding that what makes you different is often what makes you valuable.
Lastly, adaptability. Life rarely unfolds in a straight line. Some of my greatest opportunities came from places I didn’t plan to be. Being adaptable has taught me to trust the process, stay grounded in faith, and find purpose even in unexpected turns. Not everything that feels uncomfortable is a setback, sometimes it’s the very thing preparing you for what’s next.
For anyone early in their journey, my advice is simple: stay curious, protect your confidence, and don’t be afraid to pivot when life redirects you. Every lesson, even the hard ones, is preparing you for something greater.

Before we go, any advice you can share with people who are feeling overwhelmed?
When I feel overwhelmed, I stop and give myself permission to rest. Rest is a strategy. Sometimes stepping back and gathering your bearings helps you see what truly matters and what deserves your energy. I’ve learned that pushing through without pause rarely helps; taking a moment to reset does.
It’s the same thing I remind leaders of when the pressure builds. They’re carrying goals, people, and expectations, often all at once. The answer isn’t to do more but to pause long enough to see things clearly and take the next right step.
