Meet Kylee Levien

Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Kylee Levien. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Kylee , thank you so much for joining us. You are such a positive person and it’s something we really admire and so we wanted to start by asking you where you think your optimism comes from?

My optimism comes from the people and moments that remind me why I love what I do. Whether it’s a big scene we just completed, a message from someone who connected with a project, or just seeing how stories can bring people together, that’s what keeps me motivated. I’ve learned that things rarely go perfectly, but they always go the way they’re meant to. So I try to focus on gratitude, stay curious, and trust that even when it’s hard, something good is growing from it.

Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?

I’m an artist and really passionate about telling stories that make people feel something. I’ve always loved how film can connect people who might have nothing else in common.
Right now, I’m focused on growing as both a performer and a storyteller. A Chrismystery film that was just released mixes heart, humor, and a little magic. Getting to bring that world to life and see people respond to it has been such a dream.

What excites me most about this career is the unpredictability, every project teaches me something new, both creatively and personally. I’m drawn to roles that challenge me or let me explore different sides of myself, whether that’s in something lighthearted or totally unexpected.

Looking ahead, I’d love to expand into producing and eventually help develop stories that uplift others, especially young women chasing big dreams. For now, I’m just staying open to what’s next and grateful for every opportunity to keep creating.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?

Looking back, I’d say the three most important things that have shaped my journey so far are resilience, curiosity, and connection.

Resilience has been everything. In this industry, you hear ‘no’ a lot more than ‘yes,’ and learning to not take that personally — to keep showing up anyway — is such a big part of growing. Every setback really does teach you something if you let it.

Curiosity keeps the work exciting. I’m always asking questions, observing people, and finding little details that make characters feel real. Staying curious helps you evolve, both as an artist and as a person.

And connection — that’s what it’s all about. Whether it’s the bond you build with castmates, the crew, or the audience, those relationships are what make the work meaningful.

For anyone just starting out, my advice would be: don’t rush the process. Keep learning, keep creating even when no one’s watching, and don’t lose sight of why you started. If you stay grounded in that purpose, the rest has a way of falling into place.

Before we go, maybe you can tell us a bit about your parents and what you feel was the most impactful thing they did for you?

The most impactful thing my parents did for me was believe in me before I fully believed in myself. They never made my dreams feel too big or unrealistic — they treated them like something that could actually happen if I worked hard enough. That kind of support gave me the confidence to take risks and put myself out there.

They also taught me the value of staying humble — being generous, showing up prepared, and never forget where I came from. I think that balance of encouragement and humility has shaped how I approach everything, both in my career and in life.
