Meet Mimi Miller

We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Mimi Miller. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Mimi below.

Hi Mimi, so happy you were able to devote some time to sharing your thoughts and wisdom with our community. So, we’ve always admired how you have seemingly never let nay-sayers or haters keep you down. Can you talk to us about how to persist despite the negative energy that so often is thrown at folks trying to do something special with their lives?

Honestly I’ve learned that haters are part of the landscape when you are doing something original. The key for me has been having guiding principles and mastering the art of misdirection. Meaning I don’t give negativity my focus or my fuel, I redirected into creation. When you know who you are and what you stand for, other people’s projections can’t define you. I stay anchored and purpose and let my purpose and consistency do the talking. Time always reveals what’s real..

Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?

What excites me most is the evolution of my creative Journey, blending storytelling, surf culture and self-discovery through my she surf stories.

I am an author, content creator and former hair stylist who spent years helping people express confidence through transformation.

Whether it was in the chair, on the page or in the ocean lately I’ve been focused on my she surf brand. It’s more than surf wear it’s a lifestyle rooted in resilience freedom and redefining what it looks like to age with vitality and purpose. My latest project is the 90-day journal for creatives and lifestyle entrepreneurs. A tool I designed to help people reconnect with their values, creative flow, and sense of direction.

I’m excited about expanding my storytelling visually on my YouTube channel and social media where I share life skills and lessons called “From the Sea Series”, connecting inner and outer beauty, courage and change. The next chapter for me is about taking up space as a Gen X woman proving that reinvention doesn’t expire it transcends..

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?

Three most important qualities that have been impactful to my journey has always been my values, guiding principles and being Purpose Driven. Those are the things that carried me through when life got hard, haters tried to stop or block my shine and when nothing on my journey made sense but I had those fundamental qualities that kept me grounded and trusting the process.

Okay, so before we go we always love to ask if you are looking for folks to partner or collaborate with?

I love to collaborate with people and brands who value creativity with intention. Those who see storytelling not just as entertainment but as connection.
My work lives at the intersection of surf culture, Wellness and personal evolution, so I’m drawn to Partnerships that celebrate authenticity, courage and purpose.
Whether that’s lifestyle or a beauty brand, a platform that amplifies women’s voices on a creative Collective that believes in reinvention. I’m always open to relationships that are aligned, not just transactional.
