We recently connected with Khadijah Dawkins and have shared our conversation below.
Khadijah, we’re thrilled to have you on our platform and we think there is so much folks can learn from you and your story. Something that matters deeply to us is living a life and leading a career filled with purpose and so let’s start by chatting about how you found your purpose.
I didn’t answer a call from outside myself; I aligned with the one that was already encoded within me.
For a long time, I was following what I thought life was supposed to look like — earning degrees, serving my community, building a career in social work, and developing my creative and entrepreneurial skills. From culinary arts to business strategy to twenty years in human services—every chapter was shaping me, training me, and preparing me.
What I didn’t yet understand was that my Soul blueprint was already leading the way.
Before I consciously knew my purpose, it was moving underneath everything I did — in my creative expression, my instinct to nurture and empower others, and my ability to see people beyond their circumstances. It wasn’t a sudden moment of awakening. It was a magnetic pull — a quiet internal gravity that grew stronger as my ego softened and learned to trust my Soul.
And as I leaned deeper into this inner alignment, my path revealed itself:
Not just to heal, but to teach.
Not just to guide, but to develop leaders.
Not just to practice the work but to become the architect of it.
So I followed that inner current. I trained, I studied, I built, and I evolved, not to find purpose, but to embody it. Purpose wasn’t something I chased; it was my natural state once I aligned with who I truly am.
Today, through my work in energy therapy, intuitive development, sound healing, and Soul-centered coaching, I help others awaken to their blueprint and step into the life their Soul has been trying to lead them toward all along.
There was no calling.
There was remembering.
There was alignment.
The moment I trusted that inner truth, the path opened — and I walked through.

Appreciate the insights and wisdom. Before we dig deeper and ask you about the skills that matter and more, maybe you can tell our readers about yourself?
I am the founder of Essential Element Healing Arts and visionary creator of The Element Academy — a training space devoted to awakening Energy awareness, creating Sound harmony, and activating Soul alignment.
As a Holistic Wellness & Soul Alignment Coach, I help others remember who they are at the deepest level and build lives and businesses that honor that truth. My work bridges energetic mastery with spiritual development and conscious entrepreneurship, guiding both individuals and practitioners to align their gifts, activate their purpose, and lead from their Soul’s blueprint.
Personalized offerings include transformational sessions like Source Line Activation, Couples Soul Therapy, Akashic Journey, and Ancestral Activation; each offering a bridge between inner healing and Soul embodiment. I also host The Soul Journey and Soul Pass Membership, sacred containers for continued expansion, community connection, and monthly energetic alignment.
The heart of my creative work is the Morning Affirmation Collection; a deeply personal project born from my own practice of beginning each day in intentional alignment. What started as a simple morning ritual evolved into a 100-card affirmation deck and companion journal designed to help others tune into their Soul before the world begins to speak to them. I didn’t want to just share affirmations; I wanted to share a practice of remembering.
As my mission grows, The Element Academy continues to expand — offering certification pathways in Energy Therapy, Sound Healing, and Akashic Architect™ Soul Work. Each program is designed to develop intuitive leaders, healers, and guides who feel called to support humanity’s shift into higher consciousness.
Everything I create, from private sessions to memberships to sacred curriculum, serves one purpose:
to activate the Soul, elevate consciousness, and guide individuals back to the truth already living within them.
This work is not about changing people — it is about helping them return to themselves.
At the heart of every journey, the Soul is the Essential Element. When we align with its blueprint, life begins to rise to meet us.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
Looking back, three qualities have shaped my journey more than anything else: self-awareness, devotion to mastery, and trust in my Soul.
Self-awareness allowed me to recognize when I was living from conditioning instead of truth. It taught me to pause, observe myself, and honor what I felt on the inside more than what was expected on the outside.
Advice: Create a practice of inner listening. Journaling, meditation, and honest reflection are not luxuries — they are foundational to understanding who you are and what you are here to build.
Devotion to mastery guided me to study deeply, train intentionally, and respect the path of becoming. I didn’t rush the process. I invested in my skills, in my spiritual development, and in truly understanding the work I now offer.
Advice: Don’t chase titles — cultivate depth. The world doesn’t need fast-track healers; it needs embodied leaders. Take your time, learn fully, practice often, and allow your gifts to mature.
Trust in my Soul was the turning point. Logic builds plans; Soul builds purpose. There came a moment when I stopped asking for permission and started following the inner pull that had been guiding me the whole time.
Advice: Learn the difference between fear and intuition. Fear restricts; intuition expands. Trust the direction that feels aligned, even if the path is unfamiliar. Your Soul always knows before your mind catches up.
Ultimately, my journey has taught me that growth isn’t about becoming someone new — it’s about returning to who you were before you forgot. To anyone beginning their path: stay committed to your inner knowing, honor your pace, and cultivate your gifts with reverence. Everything you seek is already within you — alignment simply reveals it.

Tell us what your ideal client would be like?
My ideal client is someone who feels the quiet pull of their Soul — someone who knows there is more within them, and they are ready to meet it. They may not have all the answers yet, but they have the willingness to listen inward, do the inner work, and rise into the version of themselves their Soul has been preparing them to become.
The clients who thrive in my space are:
Self-aware and introspective — willing to look within with honesty and compassion.
Soul-led and curious — open to higher wisdom, energetic intelligence, and multidimensional growth.
Ready for embodied change — not just seeking inspiration, but integration.
Committed to their expansion — honoring the journey, not rushing the process.
Devoted to alignment over performance — choosing truth over perfection and presence over productivity.
Many are healers, coaches, creatives, spiritual practitioners, and purpose-driven leaders; individuals who are here not only to transform themselves, but to eventually guide others. Others are simply Souls reclaiming their truth and learning to live in harmony with who they really are.
What matters most to me is not someone’s background but their readiness to evolve. My work meets those who feel called into a deeper layer of themselves; the ones who are prepared to release old identities, rebuild from authenticity, and live a life led by Soul rather than circumstance.
This path isn’t for those looking for shortcuts or spiritual aesthetics. It’s for the ones who want substance, remembrance, and embodiment. It’s for those who feel their calling, even if they don’t fully understand it yet, and are ready to say yes to their becoming. My ideal client is someone who feels the whisper of their Soul and is ready to answer it with aligned action and embodied truth.
If someone feels that inner pull — that whisper that says, “I am meant for more, and I am ready to remember who I am” — then they are already aligned for this work.
