We recently connected with Kiwanna Lanta and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Kiwanna, thank you for being such a positive, uplifting person. We’ve noticed that so many of the successful folks we’ve had the good fortune of connecting with have high levels of optimism and so we’d love to hear about your optimism and where you think it comes from.
My optimism comes from surviving things that were meant to break me and realizing I’m still here, still shining. I’ve had to rebuild myself more than once, and every time I rose, I saw proof that light always finds its way back.
A lot of it also comes from motherhood. My kids are my mirror, they remind me daily that I have a choice: to pass down fear, or to pass down faith. I choose faith, even on the hard days.
Spiritually, I believe in divine timing. I trust that what’s meant for me won’t miss me. That belief keeps me grounded, even when life gets heavy. So my optimism isn’t naïve it’s rooted in experience, in gratitude, and in the knowing that if I made it through before, I can make it through again.

Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?
My story has always been about transformation. I’ve walked through seasons that broke me down just to rebuild me stronger and that journey is what shaped everything I do today. Before the titles, before the brands, I was simply a woman learning how to heal herself, raise her children, and still honor her own light.
Professionally, I wear a few hats. I’m the founder of Dear Kiwanna and Mami Thyme, and I’m also a Holistic Doula. But underneath it all, I’m a storyteller, a nurturer, and a believer in divine timing. I started Dear Kiwanna as a personal sanctuary, creating herbal blends and spiritual tools that helped me reconnect with peace and purpose. Later, Mami Thyme grew out of my experiences as a mother it’s a space that gives back, reminding moms that they’re supported and seen.
What’s special about my path is that it’s real it hasn’t been easy or perfect, but it’s always been purposeful. I’m guided by intuition, ancestry, and the belief that healing can ripple out from one person to a whole community.
Right now, I’m deepening my work as a doula and preparing to expand Mami Thyme with our Tiny Thyme Drive, which helps mothers in need through a “Pay with Diapers” initiative. At the same time, Dear Kiwanna is growing with new herbal tea blends like Sol, Rising, and Reset, each crafted to restore balance from the inside out.
If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
Looking back, the three qualities that shaped my journey the most are faith, intuition, and resilience.
Faith has carried me through every season. The uncertain ones, the rebuilding ones, the ones that tested everything I believed in. There were times when all I had was a vision and prayer, but faith reminded me that what’s meant for me won’t miss me.
Intuition is what keeps me aligned. As a Holistic Doula and creator, I’ve learned to trust my inner knowing… that quiet voice that says, “Go this way,” even when it doesn’t make sense on paper. That’s how Dear Kiwanna and Mami Thyme were both born from listening to my spirit more than my fear.
And resilience, that’s the heartbeat of it all. I’ve had to start over more than once, and each time I came back wiser, softer, and stronger. My advice to anyone starting out is this: don’t rush the process. Stay faithful, stay consistent, and let your intuition lead. The most powerful things you’ll build won’t come from comfort, they’ll come from courage.

How can folks who want to work with you connect?
Yes, absolutely! I’m always open to collaborating, especially with people and brands who share a purpose rooted in healing, motherhood, and community. My work touches many spaces, through Dear Kiwanna, Mami Thyme, and my path as a Holistic Doula. So I love connecting with others who want to build something that feels real, not just marketable.
For Dear Kiwanna, I’m interested in partnering with other wellness creators, herbalists, spiritual coaches, and conscious brands who believe in the power of ritual and natural healing. For Mami Thyme, I’m open to working with nonprofits, local businesses, doulas, and community leaders who want to support mothers whether that’s through donations, wellness events, or educational programs.
Collaboration, to me, isn’t just about exposure; it’s about expansion. It’s about two visions joining to serve something greater.
