We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Lucia Macias . We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Lucia below.

Hi Lucia, really happy you were able to join us today and we’re looking forward to sharing your story and insights with our readers. Let’s start with the heart of it all – purpose. How did you find your purpose?
My purpose is to help the artisan in Mexico. I want to help out the Mexican community, most important the Chiapas community. That’s my purpose. I want others to know about Mexican artesian.

Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?
I started my small business almost five years ago. Slowly but surely it’s growing. My journey hasn’t been easy. I’ve had my ups and downs but I continue to keep moving forward with my dream. I want others to know about the beauty of Mexican artisan. I work with artisans from Chiapas and Oaxaca. I’ve created personal and strong connections with these artists and these artisans create beautiful pieces and put much value into their work. I aspire to share these beautiful crafts with the world. It brings me joy to know that I’m helping these communities by being able to contribute to their growth. You can find us on Facebook and Instagram at Tiendita de Frida where we promote artisan accessories more widely.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
Some skills I have is to always persevere and conquer. To always fight for your dreams and never give up. Another great skill to have is professionalism. Professionalism is what allows you expand your connections and helps your business grow. Having connections lets your business be known to others who might not have heard of it before. Lastly, it’s always important stay motivated. Motivation is key to success. The road to success is always going to be bumpy but that shouldn’t stop you from doing what you love therefore it’s important to always stay motivated no matter the circumstances.

Alright so to wrap up, who deserves credit for helping you overcome challenges or build some of the essential skills you’ve needed?
My husband and family are the ones that have helped me and supported me throughout my journey. They are my great support
