Meet Honey Daii

We recently connected with Honey Daii and have shared our conversation below.

Hi Honey, appreciate you sitting with us today to share your wisdom with our readers. So, let’s start with resilience – where do you get your resilience from?

Resilience looks different for everyone, and I believe it’s shaped by our experiences, obstacles, and joys in life. I was raised by resilient family members my parents, siblings, and extended family. That strength was echoed to me as a child through their actions, decisions, stories, failures, and successes.

I grew up with the mindset of “You finish what you start,” and if you decided to quit, it better be for a really good reason and most times, the reason wasn’t good enough. That didn’t mean staying in something you hate or aren’t meant for; it meant seeing things through with integrity and finishing strong.

My household was full of men, my father and brothers who embodied resilience through toughness, persistence, and protection. My mother, equally resilient, showed me a softer strength. She gave me space to feel, to rest, and to see the world through compassion. She often took me places I didn’t want to go until I realized those spaces were exactly where I needed to be to grow. Through them, I learned that resilience isn’t just about bouncing back it’s about bending with grace and standing firm in love.

We all faced hardships, but watching joy return to my family’s faces after every storm was the light at the end of the tunnel. Resilience, I believe, is in my DNA. Every day I choose to activate it. My bloodline is strong, never easily defeated and even in loss, we rise again: shoulders back, chin up, eyes forward, ready to complete what we were put here to do.

I get my resilience from what God has blessed me with: family, friends, ancestors, and life itself.

Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?

I am a multifaceted music artist based in Texas. I’ve been creating music since I was a kid, but I began releasing music professionally in 2018 and it’s now available on all major platforms. Over the years, I’ve had the honor of performing across Texas, including two live performances on “Good Morning Texas” within the same year.

Beyond music, I’ve also explored other creative avenues starring in a leading role on an Amazon TV series, performing in stage plays, and being featured in multiple write-ups and podcasts.

Recently, I released a single titled “Chemistry,” which has been added to major Spotify playlists, and I had the opportunity to walk in a Texas fashion show featuring incredible designers. My love for the arts runs deep; it’s what led me to earn my Bachelor’s degree in Theatre Arts with an emphasis in Acting and Directing back in 2015.

Right now, I’m working on more singles, exploring new fashion collaborations, and preparing to reveal my biggest creation to date that I’m pouring my all into and can’t wait to share. The Honey Daii brand has grown so much, but I truly believe the best is yet to come. The bloom is still unfolding, and I’m excited for everyone to witness it.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?

Honestly, I still feel like I’m learning every day. Even after all these years, I’m still working toward my goals as an artist. There are fast routes to success, but I’ve learned those often come with their own price. For me, integrity, growth, and authenticity have been the most impactful qualities guiding my path. Those have always been my priorities.

My goal has never been just about fame it’s about creating timeless art with longevity, building generational wealth, and cultivating peace, joy, and order within a community of people who truly see the vision and contribute to it. Over the years, I’ve received all kinds of advice some invaluable, some just lessons but ultimately, trusting my own path one step at a time has been key.

I don’t believe there’s only one way to reach your destination. It takes a mix of hard work, resilience, faith, investment in your dreams, and divine timing. If you’re just beginning your journey welcome, sincerely. You will be tested, but those tests will reveal your next steps. Be intentional with your choices; they always bear fruit. Take time to truly understand what you want from your career and who you want around you.

And most importantly, give yourself grace and extend it to others, even if they were only meant to be part of your story for a season. My hope is that you find more than just three qualities in this answer; I hope you find a little light for your own path forward.

Okay, so before we go we always love to ask if you are looking for folks to partner or collaborate with?

I know having a solid team is essential. I’m definitely looking to partner and collaborate with talented individuals within the art community people who can bring resources that help the brand grow in both visibility and budget.

If you’re an artist, especially an independent one like me, you understand how much time, energy, and finances it takes to make your music move while also sustaining your personal life. I want to work with individuals who believe in the vision, value quality over quantity, and lead with integrity and professionalism.

My goal is to build a space where creativity thrives at a higher capacity and where everyone involved can grow alongside the art itself. Once the right pieces come together, I believe the opportunities will be limitless.
