Emily, it’s always a pleasure to learn from you and your journey. Let’s start with a bit of a warmup: What’s more important to you—intelligence, energy, or integrity?
Integrity is most important to me because it reflects honesty , reliability and staying true to my values no matter the situation I’m faced with likewise I think without true integrity, intelligence and energy can easily be misused . Integrity helps build trust and respect which are essential both in personal life and business.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
Hi im Emily john-belingy a USTI Certified Hairloss Specialist with accreditation from the American Medical Certification Association. Ive been a certified hairstylist since 2007 and the proud owner of naturally kinky curly haircare haven salon since 2016 . My work is all about helping people look and feel their best whether thats through healthy hair restoration or creating styles that celebrate natural beauty. What makes my job interesting is the chance to blend science , artistry and care every cilent’s journey is unique and being part of their transformation is truly rewarding.
Great, so let’s dive into your journey a bit more. What breaks the bonds between people—and what restores them?
What breaks the bond between people is a loss of understanding, lack of communication and compassion. In any relationship whether personal , professional or even with clients when we stop listening to one another or let pride and assumptions take over , trust begun to fade . But what restores those bonds is empathy, honesty and integrity. In my line of work as a hair loss specialist and salon owner , I’ve learned that people heal no t just through service but through connection. When you take time to truly listen , to show kindness and to create space where others feel seen and valued the bond naturally rebuilds .
If you could say one kind thing to your younger self, what would it be?
If I could say one kind thing to my younger self what it would be? . Trust your journey and be gentle with yourself . Every challenge and mistake is shaping you so believe in your strength and keep moving forward .

I differentiate fads from foundational shifts by looking at longevity, impact and adaptability . Fads are short-lived and often hype driven , while foundational shifts create lasting change influence behavior and adapt over time .

Yes I always give my best because even if no one notices it’s important to me to always do my best not for recognition .
