Life, Values & Legacy: Our Chat with BÉBÉ

We’re looking forward to introducing you to BÉBÉ . Check out our conversation below.

Good morning BÉBÉ , it’s such a great way to kick off the day – I think our readers will love hearing your stories, experiences and about how you think about life and work. Let’s jump right in? What is something outside of work that is bringing you joy lately?
Lately, joy has been showing up in the quiet, in-between moments — morning sunlight spilling into my apartment, the ritual of making tea, skating with friends after a long creative day. I’ve been learning to slow down and really romanticize my reality — even when life is busy with modeling, shoots, and brand projects. That sense of presence has been grounding for me — it’s where my creativity refills itself.

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
I’m BÉBÉ — a model, creative director, and storyteller based between New Orleans and New York. I’m the vision behind The BéBé Brand Pulse, where fashion, emotion, and narrative meet.
My work exists in that in-between space — soft yet powerful, grounded yet imaginative. Whether I’m in front of the camera or directing behind it, I create with intention. Modeling, for me, is more than posing — it’s storytelling through movement, texture, and energy.
What makes my brand distinct is the way I merge elegance with edge, and ambition with authenticity. I’m constantly evolving — building connections with brands, producing visuals that move people, and shaping a legacy that represents beauty, depth, and individuality.

What I’m most proud of is my evolution — watching myself grow from a vision into a brand, from a dreamer into a woman of action. Every shoot, runway, and feature represents a piece of the story I’m building.
I’ve created something that feels alive — a brand rooted in emotion, discipline, and storytelling. The BéBé Brand Pulse is more than work; it’s energy, intention, and legacy in motion.
Right now, I’m focused on expanding that — elevating my creative direction, deepening collaborations, and creating timeless visuals that move people. My mission is simple: to build legacy, not just visibility.

Great, so let’s dive into your journey a bit more. Who were you before the world told you who you had to be?
I was born and raised in Haiti, and for a long time, dreaming didn’t feel like an option — survival did. Life wasn’t easy, but I learned early how to find light even in hard places. I didn’t have much, but I had faith, imagination, and a quiet knowing that there was more waiting for me.
God carried me through every stage — from making the best out of little to stepping into rooms I once only hoped for. That’s why I move with gratitude and intention now. Everything I create — every image, project, or story — is a reflection of that journey: from limitation to possibility, from prayer to purpose.

Was there ever a time you almost gave up?
There were moments I almost gave up — when life felt too heavy and the vision seemed too far from where I was. Growing up in Haiti taught me resilience early, but it also showed me how exhausting it can be to keep hope alive when you’re fighting to survive.

Still, God never let me quit. Every time I reached my limit, grace found me again. I learned that real strength isn’t loud — it’s choosing to keep going, even when no one sees the effort.
Now, I look back and realize every challenge shaped me. What once broke me now builds me. I’m not just chasing dreams anymore — I’m walking in answered prayers.

Sure, so let’s go deeper into your values and how you think. What would your closest friends say really matters to you?
My closest friends would probably say that what matters most to me is purpose — not just success. I care about moving with intention, protecting my peace, and staying true to what God placed in me.

I’ve learned that I can’t build from chaos, so I value alignment more than attention. I’m passionate about authenticity, creativity, and connection — the kind that makes people feel seen.
To me, it’s not about being everywhere; it’s about being ROOTED where I am. My work, my growth, my faith — they all revolve around that.

Okay, we’ve made it essentially to the end. One last question before you go. What is the story you hope people tell about you when you’re gone?
I hope people say that I lived with intention — that I led with faith, love, and purpose. That I made people feel something real. I want to be remembered as someone who turned her pain into power, who stayed graceful under pressure, and who never stopped believing that beauty and purpose can come from anything.

I hope my story reminds people that you can start small, start scared, start with nothing — and still create something timeless. I want my legacy to be a mirror for others: a reminder that God can use your life as art, no matter where you begin.
