Story & Lesson Highlights with Anthony Carpenter of Dallas

We’re looking forward to introducing you to Anthony Carpenter . Check out our conversation below.

Anthony , a huge thanks to you for investing the time to share your wisdom with those who are seeking it. We think it’s so important for us to share stories with our neighbors, friends and community because knowledge multiples when we share with each other. Let’s jump in: What do the first 90 minutes of your day look like?
The first 90 minutes of my day consist of me checking and responding to emails from business partners and clients.
Finalizing any graphics or editing tasks that I have completed.

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
Anthony “Mann” Carpenter—a creative powerhouse, music mogul, and cultural curator who’s been shaping the underground and independent scene from the heart of Dallas, Texas. Mann is the CEO of Nostalgic Radio, where he’s not only building a platform that celebrates real hip hop and raw storytelling but also keeping the culture alive through authentic content and next-level conversations.

Great, so let’s dive into your journey a bit more. What breaks the bonds between people—and what restores them?
I believe disloyalty and betrayal is a way to end bonds and relationships between people. Taking accountability for your actions and owning up to your mistakes is what can repair bonds and relationships.

Was there ever a time you almost gave up?
There’s always a feeling of giving up when things don’t seem to be going according to plan , having a plan and being prepared fully to execute isn’t always easy as one might think.

I think our readers would appreciate hearing more about your values and what you think matters in life and career, etc. So our next question is along those lines. What would your closest friends say really matters to you?
My closest friends would say that I love my kids and everything I’m building and working hard for is for them. They would probably say that if I didn’t have kids there’s no telling what I would be doing in my life right now.

Thank you so much for all of your openness so far. Maybe we can close with a future oriented question. What is the story you hope people tell about you when you’re gone?
I hope people will understand that I don’t care about material possessions or money . I don’t care for people who put money before everything and worship it. I believe God is love and anyone who knows me know I only operate on what’s right and what’s wrong there is no in between for me.
