An Inspired Chat with Sasha Vasquez of Long Island

Sasha Vasquez shared their story and experiences with us recently and you can find our conversation below.

Sasha, it’s always a pleasure to learn from you and your journey. Let’s start with a bit of a warmup: What is something outside of work that is bringing you joy lately?
Outdoor activities like a walk through a park or by the water. Being by the water always makes me feel so free and energized. So a quick walk through a park with a pond or by wavy waters will helps me reset my mind, body, and soul.

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
Hi, I’m Sasha Vasquez, founder of Mintii.co, a women’s boutique inspired by confidence, self-expression, and modern femininity. I started Mintii as a creative outlet that evolved into a brand rooted in purpose blending New York edge with timeless, effortless style.

Growing up in New York City shaped everything about my approach to fashion the confidence, the pace, and the mix of cultures taught me that style isn’t just about what you wear, it’s about how you move through the world. Mintii reflects that energy: bold yet grounded, sophisticated but never overdone.

What makes Mintii special is that it’s built from real stories, mine included. I launched the brand during a season of transformation, balancing motherhood, entrepreneurship, and rediscovering myself and prioritizing my mental health. Each collection reflects that balance, strength and softness, boldness and grace.

Beyond the clothes, Mintii is about community. It’s about creating a space where women feel seen, celebrated, and inspired to show up fully as themselves. Right now, I’m focused on expanding our online presence, curating styles and pieces that empower confidence in every season of life, and continuing to tell stories that connect fashion with self-worth.

Mintii is where confidence meets comfort, and every woman is the muse.

Okay, so here’s a deep one: Who were you before the world told you who you had to be?
Before the world told me who I had to be, I was a dreamer, a girl who believed that with enough passion and persistence, anything was possible. Growing up in New York City, I was surrounded by motion, energy, and stories of people reinventing themselves every day, like my mother. That environment taught me to see beauty in hustle, creativity in chaos, and confidence in individuality.

I always believed in the power of dreaming, that if I envisioned it, I could build it. That belief is what became the foundation of Mintii.co. My brand was born from that same spirit: turning vision into reality, using style as a form of self-expression and empowerment. Before the world tried to define me, I already knew I was meant to create something that inspired others to see themselves differently — to walk boldly in who they are.

What fear has held you back the most in your life?
The fear that’s held me back the most has been worrying about what others think. As someone who’s struggled with anxiety, learning to trust myself was a huge turning point. Starting Mintii.co pushed me to move past self-doubt and believe in my own vision. It taught me that confidence isn’t about being fearless, it’s about showing up anyway and trusting that your voice matters.

Next, maybe we can discuss some of your foundational philosophies and views? How do you differentiate between fads and real foundational shifts?
For me, the difference between fads and real foundational shifts comes down to intention and impact. Fads are loud but fleeting; real shifts change how people think and feel.

With Mintii.co, I choose depth over hype. I design collection & style pieces that help women feel confident, seen, and grounded, not always just stylish for a moment. Real shifts last because they’re rooted in purpose, not popularity. When something aligns with my values, authenticity, growth, and community, I know it’s more than a moment; it’s a movement.

Before we go, we’d love to hear your thoughts on some longer-run, legacy type questions. How do you know when you’re out of your depth?
I know I’m out of my depth when I feel disconnected from my why — when the purpose or emotion behind what I’m doing isn’t clear. For me, everything begins with intention. Whether it’s my marriage, my family, or Mintii.co, I try to move with meaning and presence. When that connection fades, it’s my signal to pause, realign, and return to purpose — because my legacy is built on intentionality in every area of my life.
