We recently had the chance to connect with Hayley Price White and have shared our conversation below.

Hayley, it’s always a pleasure to learn from you and your journey. Let’s start with a bit of a warmup: Are you walking a path—or wandering?
I’d say I’m wandering, but with a compass. I have direction, but I’m allowing myself to meander, to follow what catches my eye and what feels creatively alive in the moment. I think as artists and entrepreneurs, we often know the general destination, but the magic happens in the detours. That’s where I find my best ideas.

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
I’m Hayley Price White, an artist, gallery owner, and creative business coach. My work really lives at the intersection of art, storytelling, and entrepreneurship. I run The Scouted Studio, an online gallery that represents emerging artists, and The Art Coaching Club, a membership community that helps creatives turn their art into a sustainable business.

My own art practice has always been about creating worlds women want to step into, pieces that feel nostalgic, romantic, and quietly powerful. Right now, I’m working on a new collection that ties together this next chapter of my life – a new home, a new season, and a deeper sense of direction.

What makes everything I do unique is how interconnected it all is (the art, the coaching, the gallery) it’s all about building creative lives that are both beautiful and successful.

Okay, so here’s a deep one: Who were you before the world told you who you had to be?
Before the world told me who I had to be, I was a believer and a stubborn one at that. I always knew I wanted to be an artist, but I was also deeply numbers-driven. I’ve always been both right- and left-brained, and for a long time, people told me that didn’t make sense that I had to choose between creativity and strategy.

In college, I double majored in art and business, and everyone asked, “Why those two? What could you possibly do with that?” But that mix ended up becoming the foundation of everything I do now. I’ve built a career that proves you can be both — wildly creative and unapologetically strategic — and that’s where I feel most myself.

If you could say one kind thing to your younger self, what would it be?
I’d tell her: no matter what anyone says, your dreams are possible. The things that make you different aren’t what make you “uncool”, they’re your power.

Lean into who you uniquely are, not who other people want you to be. I think I’ve done that, in my own way, but if I’d fully believed that earlier, if I’d really trusted that my mix of creativity and ambition wasn’t something to tone down, who knows what might’ve unfolded even sooner.

Sure, so let’s go deeper into your values and how you think. Is the public version of you the real you?
Yes, absolutely. I’m very much an open book. I love connecting with people and going deep in conversation, whether that’s through my art, my podcast, or in person. Who you hear on the podcast or see online is exactly who you’d meet in real life, and I think that’s been a big part of my success.

I’ve never known how to be anything other than myself. It’s funny… we talk so much now about “authenticity” as if it’s a trend, but for me, it’s just how I’ve always operated.

Before we go, we’d love to hear your thoughts on some longer-run, legacy type questions. Could you give everything your best, even if no one ever praised you for it?
Honestly, that’s a hard one. I don’t think I fully could. My community means everything to me. So many of my ideas, opportunities, and even the courage to keep going have come from the people who’ve celebrated my wins and spoken my name in rooms I wasn’t in yet.

That’s why I emphasize community so much, especially for artists who often work in solitude. Having people who see you, encourage you, and share in your success doesn’t just make the journey easier, it makes it richer, more connected, and ultimately more sustainable.
