Life, Values & Legacy: Our Chat with Marina Simovic Pava of New York

We’re looking forward to introducing you to Marina Simovic Pava. Check out our conversation below.

Good morning Marina, we’re so happy to have you here with us and we’d love to explore your story and how you think about life and legacy and so much more. So let’s start with a question we often ask: What is something outside of work that is bringing you joy lately?
I believe in slow mornings, having that first cup of coffee, and aromas lingering in the air.
There is certain stillness and peace in the early hours , when the whole world is sleeping. That first sip pf coffee brings me so much joy. The small moments in life where the world slows down, and feeling of peace and joy.
The joy of every day for me are my husband hugs , caring and compassionate.

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
My name is Marina, and I am in holistic field for over a decade now. My practice is located in New York City, but my clients are worldwide. I believe in the holistic and natural approach to our body and our mind.
My specialty is Reiki healing method, an old Japanese method of healing.
Our bodies are designed in a way that we do respond to trauma, physical injuries, and our body is like a blueprint that leaves a trace, even our words are recorded in our parasympathetic nervous system.
The very interesting part of our healing is that we contribute ourselves, and our body has unique ability to heal itself.
Gentle healing touch through Reiki, essence of the plant through aromatherapy, light movement and stretching has ability to renew our cells, and has a great impact on our nervous system,

Okay, so here’s a deep one: What’s a moment that really shaped how you see the world?
The moments of my life shaped the destiny of my life journey. I would not choose only one, there are so many small and big fragments of my life that made me look at life and people certain way. I grew up in a very small place in Europe, and my view on life back then was very small and limited. When I arrived in the United Staes, I felt like I live in a magical land where you can be whomever you want to be. That was so exhilarating to me , having an open mind and free spirit . I had ability to learn, grow, be in such a diverse place as New York I felt free.

What did suffering teach you that success never could?
My life path was not easy. I came to the United Staes in my early 20, and started my young adult journey as not having mental, and emotional support of my family. It was my decision to come to New York alone, to start my life completely different from the life I knew back home. I lived for 22 years not seeing any of my relatives nor my parents.
The suffering of an absent parents, and family with no support can teach you a lot about life. I became resilient, strong, brave and life thought me a lot that success never could. When you go through certain moments in life your capacity to understand, heal and move forward is stronger than any success, its your life force energy .

Alright, so if you are open to it, let’s explore some philosophical questions that touch on your values and worldview. Is the public version of you the real you?
Yes the public version 0f me is the real version of me- I am an intuitive healer, wife a friend and big foodie.

Thank you so much for all of your openness so far. Maybe we can close with a future oriented question. What do you understand deeply that most people don’t?
I understand deeply what moves people . I can accurately read the room, energy in the room and I can easily negotiate conflicts. One of the deepest desires human being have is to be understood, heard and loved. Its actually a very simple need that is easy to fulfill, I am able to read energetic prints of an individual, frequency of their energetic field their desires and needs.
