Cristina, so many exciting things to discuss, we can’t wait. Thanks for joining us and we appreciate you sharing your wisdom with our readers. So, maybe we can start by discussing optimism and where your optimism comes from?
Growing up with a Greek grandmother, yiayia, filled my life with vitality and optimism. When I think of my yiayia, I remember her traditional rituals, her stories of the old country, her ethnic foods, her icons and embroideries and her singing and dancing. My yiayia woke up with the sun and kept the sparrows company in the garden. She roamed the neighborhood in search for human connection, a conversation…she loved to speak even if she didn’t not know the language of the listener. She insisted on communication, integrating the handful of English words she knew or the few Spanish ones she quickly picked up from Mrs. Hernandez, our next door neighbor. My yiayia entertained me with her storytelling, her singing and dancing. As she sang melodies of the old country, she sprang to her feet and started to dance, stretching her arms out to the heavens. Her sweet warm voice filled the house with joy as she circled around the kitchen. I would grab her hand and mimicked her steps and flowing arm movements. In these moments with my yiayia, I learned that we can offer our wholesomeness of our emotional intelligence, our sacredness, our hidden spark which has the potential to illuminate our days into the final frontier where life will ensue with what we dream of ever more fully. The choice is ours; it always was. I hope in these times, you preserve your laughter and as the weather takes a turn for the chillier side of things, it’s good to have a little laughter to warm things up in your heart. So when a little under the weather, remember your laughter and whenever you find yourself quailing, wincing and recoiling, remember there is more extraordinary love, more than you can imagine in this wilderness we call the universe or ourselves. And as we pursue our innate sense to wander hither & thither, we will find what we are looking for. Have patience and compassion for yourselves as we journey through this experience we call life.
Let’s take a small detour – maybe you can share a bit about yourself before we dive back into some of the other questions we had for you?
I am the writer and photographer behind the scenes of my platforms. I am an enthusiast for all things intrinsically beautiful and good in nature and I enjoy doing what I can to take care of folks who entrust me with their land and property and in most cases, their biggest and most valuable asset. I offer support, guidance and encouragement to folks looking to build upon a legacy with a purchase, exchange or selling of real property. By extending my most valiant effort to gain the highest yield for my clients, all while they attain the most beneficial experience along the way, turns out to be most gratifying for me. So much change occurs so swiftly throughout the process of property buying and selling and luckily for you, I don’t take any of it lightly. The connection I have with my clients sets the tone for our end goal and somehow even when we make it to that finish line and tears of joy flow, it’s not the end…it’s the beginning…a time to start a new chapter for another blessed client. Not only is it a celebratory opportunity, but it’s also a memorable milestone for which I am honored to experience with so many wonderful people, always leaving space with a little more room to grow with each experience and every day. Khalil Gibran said it so profoundly, “work is love made visible. And if you cannot work with love but only with distaste, it is better that you should leave your work and sit at the gate of the temple and take alms of those who work with joy. Let us always meet each other with smile, for the smile is the beginning of love.” It is the foundation for all my work, my most valuable stewardship of all, motherhood, as well as being a valuable guide to my clients at whatever point of the real estate path they find themselves in.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
Throughout my journey, I aimed and continue to demonstrate, document, deliver and duplicate value to my clients by being authentic and present for their needs. With this business model, I contemplate what I could do that would provide motivation to myself and the people around me. My advice to folks starting and well into their journey already is to single out what will allow you to grow yourself and your business and do it with gratitude everyday. Mind and measure cadences that convey your character and work ethic within a group. It could be with members of your community, family or office buddies that hold you accountable and build your underlying passion daily. Review and pre-view in a planner all the follow-ups and see how you can do better in the weeks ahead. Be vigilant and resilient for there will be times along your journey that the path isn’t cleared because it was meant for you to do the clearing. When you come across an obstruction, know it is your ode to your growth and evolution to reckon it with courage and determination. We were built for growth and experiences; they will always present us with ways to foster our character and work on becoming better and better and be the burst of inspiration for everyone around.
