Hi Barbara, thank you so much for joining us today. We’re thrilled to learn more about your journey, values and what you are currently working on. Let’s start with an ice breaker: What are you most proud of building — that nobody sees?
The thing I’m most proud of building—the part no one sees—is the foundation that allows everything else to thrive: my mindset, my peace, and my integrity.

People often see the business milestones, the wins, the growth. But what I’m most proud of is the structure and inner strength behind all of it.

I’ve built a life where I can be deeply present with my family, fully engaged in my mission, and genuinely at peace with the pace I grow. None of that happened by accident—it was built with intention, discipline, and a lot of self-work.

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
Barbara Schreihans isn’t just a tax strategist – she’s a wealth-building weapon for business owners and high-net-worth individuals who are tired of overpaying the IRS.

Amazing, so let’s take a moment to go back in time. What did you believe about yourself as a child that you no longer believe?
As a child, I believed the path laid out for me was the one I was meant to follow.

Growing up with addict parents and hearing my mom say, “If I just had a little more money, I could leave your father,” I thought the situation I was born into was the one I had to stay in.

But over time, I realized that the circumstances we’re born into don’t define what’s possible for us. We always have a choice.

I chose a different path – one rooted in independence, stability, and purpose. That decision changed everything.
It’s why I do what I do today.

It’s why I help others see that they can rewrite their story too – that freedom and abundance aren’t reserved for the lucky; they’re built through intention, strategy, and belief.

What did suffering teach you that success never could?
Suffering taught me to trust that even when everything feels like it’s falling apart… it’s actually falling into place.

I’ve been broken down, burned out, and blindsided more than once. But those seasons taught me things success never could – resilience, resourcefulness, and gratitude.

You learn who you really are when everything feels like it might slip away. You learn how to shift your mindset from rejection to redirection, from breakdowns to breakthroughs.

Once you’ve built from that place – the place of nothing but faith, grit, and sheer determination – there’s very little that can shake you again.

I think our readers would appreciate hearing more about your values and what you think matters in life and career, etc. So our next question is along those lines. What are the biggest lies your industry tells itself?
One of the biggest lies my industry tells itself is that taxes are just a burden to be managed – instead of an opportunity to be leveraged.

Another? That tax strategy is only for the ultra-wealthy.
And that business owners just have to accept the system the way it is.

The truth is, the tax code was written for entrepreneurs – for the people who create, employ, and build.

My mission is to help business owners see that with the right strategy, they can transform taxes from their biggest expense into their greatest wealth-building tool. It’s not about avoiding taxes – it’s about using the system intentionally, legally, and strategically to create freedom and sustainability.

Okay, we’ve made it essentially to the end. One last question before you go. What is the story you hope people tell about you when you’re gone?
I hope people say that I helped them believe they could take control of their financial lives – and their futures – no matter how they grew up or what they were told about money.

That I changed the conversation around taxes and wealth – turning something intimidating into something empowering.

And that I used my voice, my story, and my work to help others live with more freedom, more confidence, and more purpose.

That’s the legacy that matters to me – not just building wealth, but building belief.
