Taeylor shared their story and experiences with us recently and you can find our conversation below.
Taeylor, really appreciate you sharing your stories and insights with us. The world would have so much more understanding and empathy if we all were a bit more open about our stories and how they have helped shaped our journey and worldview. Let’s jump in with a fun one: When was the last time you felt true joy?
The last time I felt true joy was on my baby moon in San Diego, CA. I was born in Oceanside, so If you know anything about this place, it’s literally right up on the beach. I was in BLISS. I went back to the place I was born, visited the house I grew up in, and listened to all the nostalgic stories from my parents about how they young, dumb, and free. I don’t know, it just felt like all the dots were connecting in real time. I even imagined living there all over again, and of course my parents were already on board. I’m extremely blessed to be able to live to see that day. It meant everything to me.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
Heeeeyyy 🙂 My name is Taeylor and I am a jack of all trades. I started out playing the piano and writing poetry, then I became a professional dancer, and then I became a commercial actress after signing to an agency all while going to school to get a Bachelors & Masters Degree in the Arts. Now that I’m starting to age out a bit in the performing arts world, I decided to become a Mommy, a Photographer, a Content Creator and work in Early Childhood Development. I’m EVERYWHERE HAH, but I always seem to go back to the arts every time.
Great, so let’s dive into your journey a bit more. Who taught you the most about work?
I THOUGHT I knew what work was until I met my son. And then I had the nerve to do it alone. It has been the most challenging & the most rewarding all in one. And I continue to strive to be the best mom he needs me to be. I don’t owe that to anyone but him. I will put in that WORK even if it comes with sacrifices.
Was there ever a time you almost gave up?
There have been numerous instances where I gave up. I’m just glad I didn’t.
Sure, so let’s go deeper into your values and how you think. What important truth do very few people agree with you on?
Everyone is raised differently. That is it. That is the truth.
Okay, so before we go, let’s tackle one more area. What will you regret not doing?
I will regret it deeply if I don’t travel and live in different countries.
